I have the v2 of this pedal, and it's fantastic & highly underrated. I've tried them all... Strymon, Empress, etc etc etc. The TC Alter Egos are as good as (and in some models, better than), the others. To my ears. True they aren't quite as versatile since you can't dial in the depth of the modulations, but the models have them pegged pretty well IMO. The only pedal I have (finally) found that has me not missing my AEv2 (which is in my cabinet), is the new Boss RE-202. That's an amazing machine.

Hi, thanks for your comment! I also tried the Alter Ego V2 and to my ears they were quite similar. They are both two very good pedals. I agree with you, it's missing the knob for modulation depth. I never heard of the Boss RE-202 model but you got me curious, I'll give a listen to some demos!
