I am musician from Russia and I purchased TC Helicon Perform VK. I find the fact, that the device doesn’t work as it described in manual: - AUX can be muted only with INST-IN also muting; - the harmony is recognizing from both INST-IN and AUX at the same time, there is no "priority" of harmony recognition between MIDI/INST-IN/AUX, as it said in promo-video. I just wanted to use this device as mixer also, but now I need additional mixer, because the mix on AUX makes the harmony "flows", in spite of using a stand-alone harmony layer on INST-IN :-\ Nobody nowhere write about this, the manual says it should work another way. Can you say me, please, is it engineer mistake? Is manual incorrect? Or if I have defective device? Also if you want this device, you should know, that with MIDI-signal you can use only Natural notes harmony, others (voice-up, voice-down etc.) works only with INST-IN/AUX.

Does the build-in room sense mic also helps you with pich correction, and getting the harmonies right? or is it only the midi from the keyboard that help you get the right Harmony and pich correction?

Can you use it without keyboard ?

Kind of. It has an onboard mic to pic up the keys etc but it's not as accurate as taking the input from a keyboard.

Hi thanks for the review, just a technical question: in MIDI note Mode, the "voices" sing right the notes you play on the keyboard, but how many voices Perform-VK can handle in MIDI note Mode? In other words, which is the polyphony real-time availability in MIDI note Mode? Thanks a lot.

Does the harmony function work with just a midi controller, or does it need a self-powered stand-alone keyboard?

Zane Richter the midi is to receive a signal from from the keyboard to tell it what key your in.

I very much appreciated your very well done video. However, in a spirit of constructive observation, around 2:00 minutes you refer to a MIDI OUT, when it should have been, MIDI IN

How would you hook it up to a mixer at a live gig? There is a mic in. No mic out. Instruments in and out. But no mic out? Please explain before I purchase. Thank you.

Poteytowz there’s a 1/4 in cable in and out on the back. Can’t people just used the 1/4 in cable to plug it into a mixer/personal mixer/ or use a 1/4 in to xlr adapter ?
@liamhebden88575 жыл бұрын
it's midi in not out... i think... as the digital photo also shows a xlr out for the mic not in lol.... and the 1/8' input is odd... in the site it shows it can be a in and a out...???? is this actually possible? It would be hand to have both... but how does that even work? I am planing on saving money but this being my main interface but I'm a little scared as this seems like pretty basic stuff to be getting wrong. I have another device to do midi so that is fine but it would help to know what the 1/8 port on the back actually does.. is it in put or out put? I guess in as the head phones are on the front
