Nice Beth, I am buying a Keefe and I cant wait. I have played on hundreds of piccolos, currently on playing on a Burkhart with a Stephen Tanzer HJ. But I think its time for a step up... thank you for your demo,, I am sold!

Hi David, To answer your question, I play a new Keefe piccolo. However, the one I played in my video that you saw is an old Brannen piccolo body with my 4 year old Keefe headjoint. If you have a Burkart, I believe that she makes her piccolos so NO other brand of piccolo headjoint will fit on it. It was one of the reasons I did not buy a Burkart. Keefe has a wide variety of heads available though and lots of fun to try too. Jim Keefe and Jan Kinmouth are a joy to work with too.

It's A-442, B foot, D# roller, C#trill, offset G, headjoint has gold riser. I'm selling the flute in order to fund the purchase of a Burkart piccolo.....I'm in need of a "back-up" piccolo to my Keefe.

You're quite welcome! Thanks for your comment, however, the piccolo I'm playing on in the video is a 20 year old Brannen piccolo body with my 4 yr. old Keefe headjoint. So it's "half a Keefe" piccolo! Enjoy your new Keefe though! My new one is great!

I loved how you played the piccolo, I can't decide what instrument my son should try after he does well with the piano. We have been looking into the Flute, Piccolo, Guitar, even Bassoon (which is not affordable at all) but it is still too early to tell at this point. He is 8 years old, and has a long way to go :)
