Sweet goodness, the sentiment that Fischer gives to that violin!! She is my favourite interpreter for Tchaikovsky. Bravissima! And bravo to the orchestra and the director!

Femineidad y delicadeza musical....Una delicia lllll
The fascinating Melancholic Serenade, Op. 26, is Tchaikovsky's first concertante work for violin which paves the way for the violin concerto composed three years later. Tchaikovsky wrote this short page following his meeting with the Hungarian violinist Leopold Auer, whom he met at Anton Rubinstein's house in 1875. Auer did not undertake its creation and did not perform the Serenade towards than the end of 1876. Tchaikovsky was still disappointed by the violinist! This last deeming the composition too difficult. Tchaikovsky, in the meantime, had changed his dedication. No dramatic accent but rather a cantilena in three parts which imbues nostalgia at its beginning, more lively and luminous in the center of the score before it, of symmetrical construction, ends as it began. With its romantic spirit and delicate lyricism, the Melancholic Serenade has become a very popular work. A little beauty! *Lucien*
