TCM Tribute to Lucille Ball

They couldn't have picked a better person to give a tribute, Carol having become a Queen of comedy in her own right, she's essentially Lucy's successor who undoubtedly loves her very much to this day. Two great ladies, one fabulous friendship! I love them both!

what made both Ball and Burnett so very good at what they did was that each knew their audiences very well and both knew what they could and could not get away with, that's what makes a good performer.

I've just watched The Big Street (1942) as this encouraged to do so because it is an unusual role for Lucille Ball. However Carol only scratches the surface of the character. Her character in that film goes on a journey and is not just the bitch that is portrayed here.

I Love Lucy is my favorite show all because of her. She's really great. I would love to meet Carol Burnett, also one of the great comedians.
