I’m so glad Doug got to taste the success that so many performers only dream about. While Doug was greatly underrated he definitely left his mark on Country music and on the hearts of many. RIP dear Sir. So many of us loved you and your talent.

I saw Doug at Kelly”s State Line Idaho in 1993 on a Halloween weekend. His band was all dressed up and they were so personal. Doug walked around the tables and sang to all the drooling girls including myself and friends! I’ve seen many many concerts including a great lineup of Tracy Lawrence, Reba, Travis Tritt, Brooks & Dunn, Chris Young & Kenny Chesney to name a very few and to this day I have to say the his concert was the best of them all. Im sad to read of his passing. I’d never heard. RIP Doug and my prayers to his family.

I can’t say a thing against Doug but I really wish that band had spent more time rehearsing! They are constantly off beat, coming in to soon and all around sound very empty! You can even see it in Doug’s face while he is singing. He is getting frustrated. Livingston, Tx misses you, buddy!
