I probably can't get enough info on my all time favorite band ABB. Thanks for sharing. Hope you got my $1.99 at your premiere. I was in the process of adding it when the feed stopped suddenly and ended and it was added after the fact. 🤷🏼😊

You asked for comments on the "Southern Rock" and "Country Rock" labels, in connection to the ABB. My personal experience in the 70's was that the two labels weren't really synonyms in the rock press, although that separation may've lessened some in later years. Marshall Tucker, Ozark Mountain Daredevils, Charlie Daniels, etc., that was "Country Rock", which also included bands and people not even from the South (New Riders of the Purple Sage, Pure Prarie League [?], for example). You kind of conflate the two "genres" here, which is no big deal. They're just labels, of course. Certainly some of the bands I listed above were often included under the label "Southern Rock" too; but, conversely, more Blues-influenced bands like ZZ Top, Skynyrd, the ABB, weren't generally referred to as Country Rock. Just my perspective of how rock journalism defined things in the '70's, YMMV, of course. A band like ZZTop could be referred to as "Blues Rock" or "Southern Rock", but...I don't think they should be referred to as "Country Rock". All this is just my perspective of general journalistic usage in the 70's. Gregg is on record as not liking the label "Southern Rock" for the band, that it was just ABB music. Certainly after Dickey's rise and Ramblin', Man, the "Country Rock" label probably got tossed their way a few more times.
