TD-25 series V-Drums with TM-2 - layering sounds and samples

The TD-25 module is the heart of the TD-25K, TD-25KV and TD-25KVX V-Drums. It’s packed with over 200 expressive and dynamic sounds which can be edited and tweaked to create your own sound.
But sometimes you need extra sounds which aren’t onboard, such as your samples and loops, or you might need to layer two sounds together on a single pad. When used with a kit from the V-Drums TD-25 series, the TM-2 lets you layer extra sounds on the kick and snare (or on any drum/cymbal). Alternatively, just add some extra pads to expand the number of sounds available from your V-Drums kit.
The TM-2 can also be used to layer sounds with acoustic drums, or add trigger pads to an acoustic drum kit to expand the range of sounds you can perform with.
In this video, drummer Oli Wiseman explores what is possible by connecting a TM-2 module with TD-25 series V-Drums.

So only sounds from two pads (snare & kick) can be 'layered' ?

Got these 2 beasts linked up to one another like this video. However I need some advice? I've tried running my BT1 trigger bars through the TM2 whilst its linked up with the 25 as demonstrated in this video but I'm getting no response from BT1s apart from a faint noise and cross talk with a distant cymbal noise in the background when I'm striking the BT1 bars. Any help would be appreciated as I am totally lost on this issue...Or can you not use the BT1s whilst its linked up with the TD25?..
