Also you said a DAW is necessary, but can't you just import wav samples from sample libraries you already own?

I believe so. Any kind of sound you want to make can be made in a variety of ways, but it’s simple to do in a DAW and you can easily export it as a .WAV file. If you already have .WAV files, then technically you don’t need a DAW :)

You have to format your SD card on the TM-2 module.
