TD05-20G Turbo Testing: Higher Boost + More Aggressive LC + 4th Gear Pulls :: Subaru Impreza WRX STi

In this video I already rescaled my MAF and done some other small changes to be able to try a little bit more boost. The Launch Control is changed to higher rpm and smaller hysteresis (faster rpm bouncing) for the bigger turbo. I also compare 1.1 bar vs 1.2 bar with Datalogs on 4th gear pulls.
Calculated Engine Power: 330 hp with 1.1 bar and 345 hp with 1.2 bar and Intake Air Temperature (IAT) @ ~30°C
Car Specs:
- TD05-20G (China)
- Maxspeed Turbo-Back Exhaust System with 200 Cell Cat
- ECU is tuned (LC) + Boost controlled with EVC Boost Controller IV (1.1-1.2 bar in this video)
- FFS is programmed over a bigger Revlimiter hysteresis
- Unequal Length Header (original)
- Stock EJ207

Looks awesome, I got td05 20g on my blob,1.8bar @ 410bhp but it's started overboosting abit with a whine noise then it drops off to about 16psi then creeps up and holds about 20psi,still trying to figure it out, doing my head in lol

@@SubiCarLous yeah had a few people tell me thats alot,hasn't got any boost settings,just mapped to run 1.8 and reply on the boost solonoid.do you think it's Dodgy?

If it’s whining the bearings are probably shot, I wouldn’t drive it, check the turbo to make sure the turbine didn’t scrape the living hell out of it, if not rebuild it, rebuild kit should only cost you 100 if you do it yourself

@@C-S..11126 found the problem,the y pipe had a boost leak under the intercooler,the whine sound was air pressure coming through the leak.thanks for your input thought,I did check the turbo anyway thought as I also just put a new intake pipe on,what a crap job that was to do lol.so glad its running nice again

It's km/h but the speed data record (only the speed data) is very delayed to the real speed.
