Battlefield 1 movement mechanics and gunplay is no where near bf5's. BF5 is just BF1 but with better movement and gunplay. The grittiness and atmosphere of BF1 was lacking in BF5.

Battlefield 1 is GOATed. Sadly, the first guy you went for was a sentry with armor and way more HP than standard hit points. The TTK in this game feels excellent. Sniping is broken, as well as everything else in some way. Also, go to server list and pick your own custom server and you will have no problems finding matches + wonderful thriving community of loyalists.

For battlefield 1, if you want active servers. Use filters Conquest and Operations and choose Slots None, 1-5, and 5-10. There will be a bunch of full server available for you to play and enjoy! Bf1 had 17,000 Active players in the last 24 hours

It was an interesting game, but I kinda feel like the Battlefield name hurt that game. When people hear Battlefield they expect huge maps with vehicles and basically a mini combined warfare conflict, not R6 Siege battledield edition. I get that the studio wanted the pull force of the franchise name but that game really should have been it's own thing not a BF game.

"Underrated"? It's literally one of the most popular FPS franchises ever and it was CoD's main competitor at one point. It's just that the series has been extremely mismanaged. It's underrated now because they fucked up BF5s launch and when it got good, they abandoned it, and BF2042 was BAD when it launched. Also, we already had a SciFi one with 2142.

That BF3 and BF4 era was the definition of battlefield. Those 2 games are what a battlefield game should be. BF3 is my personal favorite but I consider BF4 to be the best, it was the one that improved on what battlefield 3 did good, eventhough I think that BF3 was better in terms of maps. Also loved BF1 and for me it's the last great battlefield, but still never reached the same feeling I got from those 2 games.

5:17 try modes like Breakthrough and Rush, soooo much better than Conquest aha. If I had to put it into Cod terms, Breakthrough is like Hardpoint but with 2 secure points, and Rush is basically just Demolition. Both OBJ modes play so much faster paced than Conquest, and just simply the better modes. Conquest is okay on some maps but dreadful on others.

The thing about hardline is that it was definitely really good when everyone was online and the story is also a very good aspect of the game if you ever decide to play a story mode for battle field I recommend hardline

I love cod but man I had so many hours on bf4 that game was perfect to me, bf1 was also one of my favorite battlefields with bf3 not far behind. Bf2042 has actually turned into a pretty good game, the issues it had at the beginning put a bad taste in a lot of people’s mouth, I couldn’t even play the game on pc for the first year the game was out.

I used to play bf1942 semi professionally back in 2003 and I can tell you that Kursk is not a beginners map as it’s a cqb type map. At the start, you need to sprint to a plane or jeep and haul azz to secure a flag in the middle then a tank will spawn right away, so you need to be quick and already know your short cuts and techniques.

As a BF fan -2042 was a disaster, all they needed was BF4 with modern graphics! BF4 was epic. BF1 was fantastic - 128 player modes felt like all out war. Bad company 1 single player was a masterpiece, second one was ok. Both in multiplayer were great too. Bad company deserves comeback with number 3, but without recent BF failures! Take the best of both and make third one with epic graphics. Simple formula for success!

It is impossible for a noob to try a 20 year old game now and give it justice. They just feel ancient and the servers are dead but at the time they were ground breaking. 1942 was the first to have the huge sandbox with infantry, tanks, jets etc. It was incredible at the time but it was slow. Battlefield 2 was really next level and basically set the blueprint for games of today. At the time it was a graphical masterpiece and we all spent thousands to play it at high gfx. I remember trying out SLI 7800 GT :) Again it had huge sandbox but the maps were designed so infantry could still have fun and the vehicles could do their thing. It was the first game to have in game voip and a commander role so team play was a first and it was epic. I remember flying around mashtuur city in a black hawk with a squad full of friends talking shit and having fun. This game was also played competitively and my 'clan' (not me tho) flew to Taipei to play in the World Champs. Since then there have been plenty of great Battlefields but the formula has remained much the same as BF2 just with better graphics and destruction. Nothing will ever capture the imagination like the first battlefields though. We are just so used to it now.

There’s nothing like Bad company 2 multiplayer ! They haven’t been able to recapture that since it came out. If you still want to play it the servers are still active on pc through a third party and it should take 5-10 min to setup with a quick tutorial on KZbin.

BF2, BF2142 and Bad Company used to be my favourites. Here is a few fun things in them: 2 had commander mode, where 1 player per team could take the role of a commander and view the game in a top-down map view, issue orders to squads and send in helpful assets like UAVs, arty strikes, supply packages, etc. 2142 had a special mode (I think it was called Titan mode) which was kinda like conquest except both sides had a massive spaceship parked above their spawn that had a bunch of turrets and had an actual interior because you could board the enemy titan and destroy it from the inside to secure the win. Bad Company if I remember correctly was the first BF game with a destructible environment and I learned it the hard way. In one of the campaign missions you get attacked by a tank, so my first instinct was to run into a nearby house. Thinking I was safe I tried to heal up only to hear a massive explosion, see the wall in front of me crumble and realize I'm staring at the wrong end of a tank barrel, it was at that moment I fell in love with that game.

The problem you had with the bullet spread in battlefield 2 and 2142 can be easily fixed by crouching or going prone, and all bf2 and bf2142 players know that you just had to ask. The modding community in the other hand created such masterpieces outta the game and are gonna be more fun for you imo. Also the multiplayer is still available after ea shutdown the servers using a revival project called bf2hub(idk if bf2142 have its community servers ngl)but the bots on veteran to expert mode are still very challenging you can still enjoy the gameplay experience even offline (some mods try to improve the ai even further... it's very hard tho-_-)

OMG, I just hooked in. After that I never played Single Player game. I owned BF 3, 4, 1, 5 & 2042. Also COD Cold War & Vanguard. I love this type of game. Battlefield change Me. Still love BF3.
