You are correct, Snap Ships was a line of building sets prior to this. Its actually the main reason I never backed this when it was on kickstarter. I literally have one of every set they released and multiples of others and when the Kickstarter went up I was bummed to find out there was no "components" only pledge and I basically would be forced to buy all these big boxed sets with parts I already had, not to mention they nickel & dimed you for everything if you wanted the full experience (3-4 players, solo, extra bases, etc). So in the end I ultimately passed but I'm ok having bins of these cool parts, I tinker with them from time to time. Glad to see the board game is quite good though.

Looks great. My only issue with the game is the scale. The minis wound be better with half or quarter the size. Smaller minis = more space = more minis = same space.

I agree, the models just look ridiculously large given the play area. It’s probably less of an issue for people who aren’t miniatures gamers who tend to be more focused on the scale and “look and feel” of the game.

If they take off and land on planets, wings would definitely help get through atmospheric flight. Even our own very real Space Shuttles had wings.
