18:25 Storms Edge has an EXTREMELY strict Line of Sight check tied to its teleport, if this check fails for even the most mundane of reasons the teleport will cancel after the initial animation plays. In this clip I believe the knife ended up on the other side of that archway lip after hitting the melee lunging warlock, which failed the LoS check and left our poor hunter high and dry.

I think the Warlock's melee lunged them right into the path, that's how it looks to me. But yeah, Storm's Edge is really strict about not doing the Blink over if you get blocked post-toss.

I notice the slova bomb has a strong tendency to go after fast movement. It seems to have a similar mechanic as controller reticle friction where someone sliding in the back can pull your aim off your target. That vandal was sprinting past behind the brig and thus likely pulled the nova's AA / auto tracking off the brig that was very stationary.

18:50 with the guy getting slapped out of his super. Cammy went over something like this and it seems to be what he figured out. If you ever obstruct the hunter from where he threw his knife, he won't zip to it. I.E. if you throw a glacier grenade in the way so that the hunter would have to travel through it to get to the knife, he won't travel. This MIIIIGHT have been because the warlocks... body?... was in the way? I'm unsure. But Cammy goes into detail about a counter for it if you wanna look into that.

Makes sense though strangely enough the super can be used for oob shenanigans where the knife is thrown through a specific spot of the window frame / wall in the new raid and the teleport works without line of sight (oc the spaghetti code might define line of sight differently than the player 🤷‍♀️).

18:40 I think if you interrupt the super at all it just doesn’t go off. I’ve timed stasis rifts well enough to freeze the hunter and they don’t even have the super damage resistance anymore, you can just one-shot them

For the clip at 18:40 from what I understand, you can't blink inside of a player. So if a player is at your point of landing, you just don't get to land.

They completed a crucible bounty when they did that. With the release of the final shape they removed bounties from the ritual vendors so this was from before the Final Shape launched.

19:20 It was actually a 3 tap, you can see 3 damage number, and he fired 3 if you watched the mag, though the last shot is definitely latency issues, likely a case of the hitscan procing before the firing animation due to server lag or latency.

Only Bungie games allow you to stick an enemy Banshee with a Plasma grenade and the debris fall down and hit the enemy flag carrier and his escort buddy for the crispy triple kill. Here in Destiny, you got the grapple that allows for plays like the first one. That is why I’ll always pick Halo and Destiny over “I got 500 attachments on my gun and my killstreaks play for me” CoD.

Pretty sure that what happened at 18:30 is "losing line of sight". You can stop the Storm's Edge TP with a stasis crystal after the blade has been thrown and before the hunter disappears. What I am guessing just happened is that the warlock walking forward "blocked" the line of sight and cancelled the teleport. The melee probably had nothing to do with it. That's my guess !

I’m pretty sure the getting punched out of super is the same thing as the stasis crystal cancel where putting a stasis crystal in betweeen the player and where the knife lands cancels the teleport. It looks like the knife landed behind the player, and the players punch them in between the cast position and the landing position of the knife,causing an “obstacle” to appear between the two points and canceling the teleport.
