When I saw back to the future in the theatre, everyone laughed at the lone pine mall sign. I heard one guy behind me say “ lone pine mall ha ha!” I saw it numerous times in the theatre, even after it hit video it was still playing in the theatre.

I was curious if you knew this or not. When Marty starts off at this mall it is called the Twin Pines Mall of course. But when he goes back in time to 1955 he hits one of two pine trees and completely smashes it on old man Peabody's property. So then when he comes back to 1985 and he goes up to where the mall sign is overlooking the van and himself the sign actually says Lone Pine Mall. Anyone ever catch that? So many things in this movie you have to look close to notice the differences that they meant to have in the movie!

Don't know where they found that old JVC VHS camcorder but it WAS the same model they used in the movie. I had a Sharp brand VHS camcorder back then but it was bigger than the JVC model. You had to rest those old camcorders on your shoulder because they got heavy real fast but even my less expensive Sharp model was made exceptionally well and produced excellent video. I sure miss the 80's. That was THE best time of my life, and movies like BTTF helped make it what it was :)

flashbck....1985 behind the mall north of this location were a chain of cinemas, manns?, edwards?, etc can"t recall all them but it was the place to be to watch movies if your a local, we saw BTTF there, later we drove down the street visiting this location . pretty much unchanged .The theaters are all gone now along with pine trees .....THANKS MARTY

puente hills mall in california city of industry is near my home town where I grew up in 1975 to1990 I used to go to this mall many times back in day I went to vajar elementary in 1975 till Morris school elementary opened up as my new school.. also went to Suzanne middle school, as well as walnut high school where I graduated. .this is just the area of where I lived border of west Covina, walnut area I lived in the west Covina side...lots of memory's I do miss. ..we all seem to feel we grow up so fast. ..memory's live on. .........

AS for learning a movie with a VHS drop out problem, DVD's are so much worse, I bet a lot of kids grow up seeing a fav. movie from a DVD that has a skip in it. Back in the days before MP3 and CD's there was a local band that learned to play a song from a vinyl record that had a skip, they never knew until they heard the song on the radio.
