One thing that I found really cool about this video is the fact that Adam didn't get rattled or upset when the tire repair issues were unfolding. He got some banking done, grabbed an iced coffee, and even got himself a haircut! Then he talked to some ducks, horses, and bunnies! Some us us should take a page out of Adam's new book, entitled "Too Blessed To Be Stressed!"

Adam, you should get a small hammer or the mini looking ball bat they sell at truck stops and use it to thump the inside and outside duals. it won't check actual pressure per se, but the difference in sound will tell you if the inside dual is flat or not. a inflated tire will make a sharp ring, while a flat tire will make a thud noise.

One thing that is highly important with dual tires is to make sure the pressures are correct. If their low the rubber will actually rub between the tires and wear them prematurely. Safe journeys Adam!

Hi Adam, that is why you should do a circle check on your truck like the truckers have to. Don't know if the d.o.t. Has change it law for rv's. but being a 6 wheeler they will pull you over. It a good idea to have a pre-trip inspection log with you. I don't believe you need to log your trips. Oh, you should always look between your duel wheels for objects, things do get stuck between them.

Adam, get yourself a RV style tire pressure gauge and you can check your tire pressures yourself. Tire pressures on a big RV (or any vehicle for that matter)are very important. Large Marge is a full figured gal and needs her tires checked frequently. Do you have a tire air compressor on board? Happy travels!
@advlandvideo7 жыл бұрын
Looking good Adam. With the parking situations in town, a Large Marge alternate would be a good idea. Especially something small that you can carry of on a rear platform.
@ericteneyck86917 жыл бұрын
Your buddy may have already lectured you, but check your tire pressure every time you fill up, or every week or so and you will find things like that valve a lot sooner and also extend the life of your tires by keeping them at the proper pressure.
@cardinaloflannagancr89297 жыл бұрын
One thing is hopefully they can check if the tire was damaged by running flat, being a duel it may not have been as critical though. However when pressure is low tires don't carry the same ability to carry weight, run hotter and the tire can be damaged.

I love ya Adam but you've gotta check those tires daily as much as you drive. If one comes apart it could do a lot of damage to Large Marge. I can't believe a tire store didn't have the right valve stem. Safe travels Adam!
@thomasstandley63097 жыл бұрын
You might want to give some thought to an air pressure monitor (check on Amazon). Losing a tire, particularly a front tire, on a large RV can lead to some real problems. The monitor would give you constant information on pressure and perhaps temperature.

Adam, get yourself a Jack. The ones that require an bar to "jack up"a vehicle. Use the arm to hit your tires before you take off from a long stop. The bar should "bounce" if the tires are inflated. That's scary what happen to you, could have been so much worse
