The TE KOII might be this year's can't get my hands on one for Xmas like PS5 a couple of years ago...I see a few folks are having issues with the slider not working, so maybe it's a good idea to wait a while

It definitely won’t be an SP killer. Certainly not with the current firmware. No waveform view, no resampling which I think is a real missed step for a device called a “sampler” no sample names and limited memory and storage. However I still think it will be fun to use and very portable hence why I ordered one and I’m hoping it went through. I’ve seen one KZbinr saying the fader is easily broken so I think we need to be careful with that! I plan on doing some tutorial videos for it if/when it arrives. 👍

There is like four or five that got broken faders over at elektrnsughts..lol.. yes it looks like a issue is cropping up. Also a bunch have buttons that sick.. I'm still getting one when I can. Curious about the supposed mpc mini key 37 though.. I'm waiting to see what that will be about. How many portable samplers do we really need? Lol.

The Ep133 will eat the circuit R alive. Teenage Engineering makes the best user interfaces period, and the device looks gorgeous. I really don´t care about the limitations because I never finish a track on a single device. I need something portable,fun to use and, why not, aesthetically pleasing. This thing is checking all the boxes

The EP133 is closer in features/capabilities to the Volca Sample2 and the Sonicware Liven Lofi-12 than either the Roland SP404 or the excellent Novation Circuit Rhythm. To be fair though, they're all different beasts fulfilling different niches. I've preordered me an EP133 and look forward to you doing some more Hip-Hop oriented tutorials on it.

I love how samples sounds, but I personally hate using samplers. The OG KO is the one sampler that is easy and fun to use. It’s limited feature and memory size forces you to be creative and prevents choice paralysis’s. This new KO II might be in a sweet spot of easy to use yet deep. The OP-Z for me was too deep and collects dust. 😅

No waaaaaay aaaayyyy will the ep replace the sp, mpc, etc. SP & MPC are iconic and both have more features. The EP is a good addition though, no doubt. I don’t think it’s necessarily meant to be a replacement to those units, but a nice affordable and portable option perhaps. As long as it doesn’t start malfunctioning like current reports.

Ep-133 is cool but not anything groundbreaking. Looks fun but it's mostly just fomo buyers. I guarantee the used market will be up quick when people that bought off hype realize the limitations it has. As for myself I'm patiently waiting and will buy used if I can to have some fun with it. It definitely doesn't compare to the more expensive stuff, mpc , sp404 mk2 etc.

The TE EP-133 K.O. II is sold here for 350 euros, instead of 275 euros which it should be. We're paying like 100 dollars more for it here. At 399 dollars it's really just not worth it. Even though I am happy to see a TE evolution of their samplers. Here's hoping to them releasing a vocal processor in the same way. I'd love a feature rich TE PO-35 Speak conversion into a TE EP-135. To me, that would be more interesting than this sampler. Even though it seems packed with good features.
