Mr. Graae, you have every right to be proud of your performance, certainly if it had been me I know I would. It is also obvious that you've had voice training and that unfortunately as a performer you must suffer the slings and arrows of the arm chair expert.

At the end of this performance in 1990 on PBS Great Performances what is missing is the cherubic face of John McGlinn looking as if he had just seen God. Indeed, the camera shots that followed of the audience rising in unison, were a tribute to the perfection of this performance.

I always sing tea for two around the house , to my dogs. They are used to me always singing to them! Sugar- sugar is my one dogs favorite song. She gets up on her hind legs for me to pick her up and dance with her around the living room. Her sister barks when she wants her turn with me!but she doesn’t care what song I sing just as long as I carry her around and sing to her! Their Pomeranians and love being held by me.! They’re spoiled rotten! Lol

This was performed at Symphony Hall in Boston on August 23, 1990, and it is unofficially known as Boston Pops - Broadway Originals. This was televised by PBS, and so there are no authorized DVDs available. The guest conductor was John McGlinn, and the event was hosted by Kitty Carlisle. Why on earth didn't Rebecca Luker take up dancing?

It really bothers me that Rebecca Luker is dead. I met her at Studio 54 on a Saturday night 2019 or 2018 as she performed with a former female teacher.. I walked up to her and told her the best duet I ever heard was the one she did for PBS with Jason Grae. She was very moved and hugged me I walked away and said nothing else because I did not want to interfere since her teacher was on stage doing a solo. To watch here do her rendition on KZbin of "All I ask for" with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir always brings me to tears. It's very difficult to understand, but I knew a long time ago God works in mysterious way. I miss Rebecca Luker.

Such a good old song. I always associate the tune with Django Reinhardt's guitar version, but to hear the song proper is good. This recording is on an album called Broadway Showstoppers and it has the original theatre poster from the play (i.e. musical) it came from on the front cover. The play was called 'No, No, Nanette' (1925).
