You're so right Patty. It's okay to not be okay at times. I've been disabled for a long time but last June when I caught Covid for the second time it turned into what I was told Long Covid. I have so little energy and strength. I have such plans and I make my usual list but not much gets checked off to quickly anymore. At first it frustrated me so but I've come to realize I just can't do it all anymore the way I use to. It's been hard to accept this new way of life but I'm giving it my all. I trust that God will see fit to carry me through this challenging time and continue to send me hope through people like you Patty. Thank You for being You Patty and for opening your Heart and Sharing with all of Us... Hugs 🌻🧚♀🌻

What a kind and generous message. I find we all struggle with similar issues even though our living circumstances may be different. Accepting physical limitations is one I the hardest parts of aging. The young think wrinkles are the enemy but that is such a trivial thing when our bodies begin to betray us. Praying for you sweet lady.

I so enjoy your teatime chat ❤ I miss tea with my mom and my youngest daughter but, mom passed away 12 years ago and my daughter moved away so that's why I really enjoyed your chat teatime. I really enjoyed your video ❤ yes I try to live one day at a time, I'm 74 years old so I slowed down a bit now. Thank you for sharing your thoughts very good advice ❤

I think slowing down gets a bad rap. I try to think of it as my body being wiser than my brain and just go with the need for rest.

It’s definitely that time of year. Gardening keeps me from my to do list quite often!

I’m a list maker and it’s very hard to leave something not marked off. I needed your chat today to remind me it’s ok if I don’t get it all done!!! Love tea time with you!!! 🥰

It’s just me so my “schedule” is laundry and cleaning every Friday. In between some vacuuming. I quilt etc so there can be lint and threads around and of course some dust. I like my routine on Friday. Bet the carrot cake is delicious!!

I like knowing when my cleaning days are. It lets me ignore the craft messes knowing their time will come. 😂

Hi Patti, great advice! When the kids where young it was a more sticking to the daily things that needed to get done b/c of extracurricular things they my kids participated in. Now as an empty nester I still have a great planner that as a matter of fact it’s a new one I’m trying this year and I’m loving it so far, but if my hubby or my children or a friend calls me last minute at any time of the day or let’s me know they are coming to visit, I certainly drop everything and make spending time with them my priority. The laundry, the dishes, etc… will get done just a different day or time. I have even rescheduled doctors appointment b/c someone visiting from out of town will want to get together. Spending time with loves ones and making memories is most important to me. I enjoyed your video and felt like we were having tea together. I just wish I could taste the carrot cake 😂. Btw your blouse is beautiful, loved the flowers on it. The sleeves reminds me of tulips. Have a blessed rest of your week my friend. 🙏🏼

Hi Maria, would love to know the name or brand of your planner that you are loving. Thanks! Vickie

You are so good at “people-ing”. I am getting better but still have to be intentional about it. I haven’t quite transitioned to my spring wardrobe but this is a new blouse and I like it so far. Let’s see how it holds up. 😊

@@vickieatkins4760 Hi Vickie, my planner is the Home Planner from Passionate Penny Pincher website. I think right now all they have available is a pdf version you can buy and print yourself. I bought mine at the beginning of the year when they still had some available. You will like her website she has other planners and lots more. Her name is Laurie. Hope this helps. Have a blessed week! 😊

I don't have a problem letting go of a task, if it can be moved to another day. I do have certain things that need to happen on certain days and I schedule those days with those tasks in mind. But the other days are held loosely and the tasks get moved to the next day on the planner. As I get older, I have gotten more flexible, but I still wake up with a general idea of how I want the day to flow.

I’m the same. I plan my week loosely and each day a little more specifically the night before. But even then things come up and the mood to create strikes! 😂

Hi Patti, thanks for this good reminder while enjoying your tea. Unfortunately, I wake up, make my list of to-do items, start them all but sometimes never finish them. Of course this drives me crazy but I know they will get finished sometime. Have a lovely week until next time. 🌷

I fight the same tendency but I’m getting better at relaxing my to dos when necessary.

I can rest and take care of myself on days and do small jobs then more the next day! I’ve tried telling my mom to Pamper herself she does not enough. She is 79. I love your channel I’m also a gardener who loves tea😊

I think the generations before us struggle with idle times even though they are so good for us. What zone do you garden in?

I love making list! Just by making a list I feel like I accomplished something. I would love for you to share what you bought. What a blessing to live so close to your mom that you can spend days like this one. ♥️ Have a blessed day Ginger (from Instagram)

Although I am a believer in -don't do tomorrow what you can do today, I have no problem letting planned things go that get changed at the last minute or I did not get around to doing it due to lack of time or other circumstances out of my control. There is no need to stress. There is always tomorrow - Is my other motto ! Making lists are great. I find I need to do that more now than ever. Age is catching up with me. 😳 😂💕
@LemonsandLarkspur5 ай бұрын
Ha, ha. I know a thing or two about age and forgetfulness. I need to write things down even if I don’t finish all my tasks. Like you said there is always tomorrow. Hope to see you soon.

What an inspiring video Very nice to do something pretty for yourself. Incidentally I liked the arrangement and would like to know what the greenery was that you started it with. Btw I’m also a list maker and sometimes something gets rolled over more than once.
@LemonsandLarkspur5 ай бұрын
I roll things over more than once as well but they eventually get done. I used oregano and boxwood as my greenery. I like using herbs for filling in but it’s the woody boxwood that holds things upright.
