This was such a great video! You’ve inspired me to tackle my freezer too lol! I can relate to the question very much. We are empty nesters and sometimes it’s a challenge. There are those moments when I miss being a mom of younger kids and the times when they were growing up. But God is faithful as you said! He has reminded me that He’s doing a new thing now in this season. Learning to make bread, or writing, or plugging in more at church are ways that He is encouraging me. Joyce Meyer has so many good messages on KZbin. I’m reading her books in quiet time and she always challenges to seize each day and to spend that time with God each morning. Then He will direct my steps and fill the days with intentionality and purpose. I’m really thankful for your videos and how thoughtfully you share and encourage everybody!!😊

Patty, always enjoy your Tea Times. As a believer, I have seen God's faithfulness over & over in my life. Quick testimony: Four years ago my precious son-in-law died from cancer after a courageous fight. He was 35 and left behind my daughter and three little ones under the age of 5. Even during the devastation of his loss, I saw my daughter keep her faith and pass it down to her children and everyone around her. Eight months ago, the Lord brought her together with a widower, a Christian man who lost his wife about the same time. Praise the Lord- they married so now with his 4 kids and her 3 we call them the Brady Bunch! They have challenges with 7 kids but their faith is seeing them through. 🙌

I find cleaning and organizing very rewarding. I enjoy watching people clean their homes. We all do it pretty much the same way but it’s still fun to watch. I love spring because of Easter. Christ’s death and resurrection gives me such comfort and hope. He is returning and in the meantime we are to live our lives in joy and love. Thank you for letting me share. That pie looked awfully good too!!

Our fridge & freezer can use a bit of cleaning out too. Every trash collecting day is when we clean out, so we don't have so much "throw away" accumulated. Thanks for the idea of the bins in the freezer; i will stop by the store and pick up some for our freezer in the fridge and the main freezer in our garage. Your apple pie looks so pretty and delicious; unfortunately both my husband and I have to watch our sugar intake, but we do "cheat" a little sometimes. We're so looking forward to spring so we can get out and clean up the flower beds and replant some colorful flowers. It's been cold in the DFW area of Texas but spring is on the way and that's exciting. God is a major part of our lives and we're so thankful for His faithfulness and His love every day; I don't know what we would do without Him and I don't want to know! God bless you and your family, Patty!

I need to get in the habit of cleaning the fridge before our weekly trash pick up. As far as sweets, I have been so bad this winter and need to cut them out for a few weeks and then restrain a bit more. As we age sugar feeds our aches and pains and none of us need more aches and pains! I have just ventured back into the garden and am looking forward to spring as well. It’s been fun doing a weekend garden video. I enjoy seeing the different seasons in our backyard. Thank you for leaving such a thoughtful comment.

Hi Patty, I always appreciate your encouraging words. The last few years have been very challenging health wise for my hubby and me. We have had to cling to God and his word for the hope of the new life we walk in daily and the one to come. We are so grateful the Lord has given us length of days to learn so much about him, attempt to encourage others and how we can be victorious through him. Thank you for your sweet videos.

What a beautiful testimony! I have neighbors who will be celebrating 60 years of marriage this month. This last year has brought them so many health challenges but their faith in God and love for each other is more evident than ever. Praying for you my friend!

Patty, David and I were just reminiscing about the family farmhouse we gave up 5 years ago. God was so faithful to give us our dream of raising our boys on that land. But the season ended and instead of grieving, we have to choose to see all the blessings that came from that season. The blessings are always there, even if they are small. It’s all in the perspective. Our journey with God is ever changing and it’s only when we cling to the past, that we cheat ourselves out of the future. Thank you for another wonderful tea time 🩷☕️

It’s only when we cling to the past that we cheat ourselves out of the future. Love that my friend. You have such a beautiful way with words. I remember your farmhouse and how you stepped away from it in faith. God is so good even in His closing of doors.

That’s so funny. It’s like when the dogs hear barking on the TV and bark back. I had to close the freezer to stop the beep several times. 😂Annoying but such a nice luxury to be reminded that I forgot to shut the door. Happy Spring to you as well.

I have just come across your channel. I am going through a season of loss and am having a difficult time finding joy. I lost both of my parents within the space of three weeks this past fall and I miss them terribly. As a Christian, I hope to see them again one day, but in the meantime I'm struggling with the grief. Thank you for this video and the opportunity to share my thoughts. I hope that spring will bring healing.

I am so sorry for your loss. Grief is a process and one that our Father in heaven is familiar with. He will sustain you and bring you joy again but don’t rush the process. Instead look for Him in the little things. What brought your parents joy? Gardening, birds singing, the mountains? Look for those things in your day to day life and thank God for the time He blessed you with them in this earthly life and yes, look forward to the reunion in heaven. Praying for your time of grief and healing.

Thank You for the video Patty. Your tea time spoke to me today. I was reminded of a scripture that the Lord gave me years ago as I was praying for a wayward child. Job 14:7 a wonderful promise of hope. I am still praying this prayer and believing for life from (seeming) death. He is faithful who promised!

I have come to love the book of Job so much. Here is another wonderful scripture to stand on when sometimes a trial feels like it will never end. Job 23:8-10 Sending a prayer up for your child. My hubby has 2 and partners that need it as well. God bless!

The Lord has been faithful to me by showing me how humility is life-changing. Actions have consequences, but through them, we can reflect and, ultimately, become better followers of His Word. Every time I've stepped outside of His guidance, He has pulled me back to Him.

I am going to recommend your channel to a friend. I guess I would say she is more religious than me 😄. I do believe in my own way and appreciate all the Lord has provided but just don't talk about it. For me religion is private. I have seen to much heartache under the guize of religion. I enjoy your channel and even your touch on religion which is done in a tasteful way. People can choose to watch and listen or skip bits which is the good thing about You Tube. Did you say you get snow in Winter. I am trying to figure out what zone my garden is. I thought maybe it would be classed as a 9. I always thought we were classed as a desert garden but we get no snow at all. Most of our rainfall comes during Winter. In Australia we don't really go by zones just the temperature and weather. We have made the decision and signed on the dotted line to downsize. I will need a third bedroom for my disabled daughter to come home to and another for doing my paintings and craft. I am hoping to find one with a small garden 🌸area but not to big. I enjoy seeing your storage and ideas. I did notice on one of your videos a sewing maching tucked under a table with a little curtain and I thought it a clever idea. When we move, If I don't have room for my sewing machine table, this idea may come in handy 🤗

Welcome and thank you for sharing both my channel and your heart. Our beliefs are so much more than words spoken but in the outpouring of our heart and by our actions. We live in a desert climate as well and rarely get snow. We spend a few weeks in the low 30’s with an occasional drop to the 20’s (Fahrenheit). In America zones are determined by how cold we get in the winter. I am considered zone 9. We downsized a couple of years ago and it has made me get very creative with my storage. I’ll be sharing my dining room and storage ideas in next weeks video. Thank you again for the lovely comment.
