I’ve been adding to our pantry each week, just stocking up for whatever might happen. Food & water. I bought a one burner propane camp stove. Battery operated lanterns. Etc 🙏🏼

As far as preparing, we stock up on oregano oil, ivermectin, and other things for meds. Stocking up on some food. And other supplies. Need a generator yet and perhaps getting a satellite phone. Stocking up on vodka to make tinctures. I've purchased a lot of books on natural remedies and wild food to forage. Veggie garden and planning on chickens❤

I saw your short so here I am. Lol. I'm eating carnivore for a time. Sugar gives me pain all over. I really don't miss it. I make my own apple cider vinegar and it's so good!! It's good to take your blood sugar so you can really assess what is going on because I don't know about you but I can lie to myself. 😊❤

Greetings from the UK , great video as always. I totally agree with your chat today, the world has changed and we need to be ready for what is ahead. I feel for the younger generation, I am lucky I grew up with grand parents who did without in the war years and passed on that knowledge of making things go a little further,we live in a society that as you say we can obtain everything in an instant. Well done for cutting back on the sugar.

I've been trying to make sure my main go-to recipes are on paper NOT the internet- just in case! Also I try to keep a stocked pantry with basics. Extra bottled water on hand. Medical items etc. We have a solar-powered weather radio that can also be wound up. And a generator, but it's gas-powered so not sure how well that'll serve us lol. We just don't know what the future holds or what it could look like. I spend quite a bit of time with my Lord and Savior asking for wisdom and guidance, what i should do.

I'm trying hard to stay off a lot of the sweets that I eat. It's hard for me because I have a sweet tooth, but I think I'm making a little progress. With God's help, I can conquer my sweets addiction. Thank you for the good advice you give; it encourages me to do it too!

I have stocked not heavily but with products. we are buying a generator. I have camped for vacations so I do know how to live without electricity.However, I am in my sixties and it is harder now to do certain things that were so much easier then in my younger years. I am more concerned about how money may be handled. hearing so many things and I don't like that uncertainty.

It probably sounds silly, but I have been canning jars of chicken and vegetable broth to use to cook pasta,beans,rice ,etc., in a case that I need to conserve drinking water

I enjoy ironing; but only do it in the evening as I still work outside our home; it's relaxing to me. Your flower arrangements are so colorful and beautiful.

I iron only if clothes are wrinkled. I love the newer type of materials that don't need ironing. My daughter doesn't have an iron or ironing board. Not sure I could manage without one altogether. Love all your beautiful flowers. They make a home look so cheery.

Hi Patty, I have a sweet little book called "Gifts from my Home" and one of the things this lady shares is her love of ironing. One of the reasons she loves it is because to her in a small way it brings order out of chaos, and beauty out of confusion. Now, that's a good way to look at it. My favorite chore is folding a nice pile of warm clothes out of the dryer on a cool/cold day. If they are towels, I will wrap up with one while folding the others, so cozy! Not so fun in 3-digit weather though :)

Very cute outfit! Love the touches of fall, too. But we're still in triple digits here, so no fall decorating me yet!😂 Probably some time next month. So I'll just enjoy yours for now

Patti, I still iron certain clothes, especially if I don't pull them out of the dryer on time. My 3 daughters, all in their 40's, look at my iron and board like they are some kind of primitive tool from way back. haha I guess it shows what age group we are in...

I love your open and honest chats❤. I can relate to what you're saying with two special needs sons and a I'll husband along with a daughter in her last quarter of college. It's a lot to be pulled in all directions with those we love so much and want to be there for them all Even though feeling pulled, I wouldn't want it any other way. I have been collecting vintage and antique oil paintings. I've been blessed to of been able to thrift many beautiful oil paintings. I'm glad you're back.

You said you feel like you are letting someone down. Maybe it's you who you are letting down. I took care of my mom 24/7 for 10 years. I had to quit my job. I had no help at all, she lived with me. I didn’t take even one day off, I got in so far and I got so exhausted I didn’t see I needed help. I was Wonder Woman. After she died, i crashed. Caregiving had always been my life, I didn't even know myself anymore. It has taken me years to repair the damage. The analogy about the empty cup is so true. I had never known to fill my own cup, just everyone else'sp. Plus I was a workaholic. When the big caregiving came, I was already empty but I just kept pouring out. I almost lost myself in the process. I'm not telling you this to talk about me. I just wish there had been someone to warn me, to care. In all honesty, I probably would have thought caring for myself was selfish and I wouldn't have listened, but it's not. A woman who keeps her cup full can keep giving. But a woman with an empty cup can't even help herself. New suscriber. Enjoyed the video so much!!

I love listening to you Patti you always hit on things I'm feeling and that help me to see I'm not the only one. I think God blessed you with the gift of sharing your feelings with other so we can see we're all more alike then not. My health has begun to fail the past two years so I'm slowing down and I'm having a hard time accepting that. I Pray a lot I Wish a lot and I Dream a lot. Patti, I 100% know exactly what you are sharing- about feeling "pulled". I was going through that last month, so, like you, I prayed, and the Lord led me to take 3 weeks off of all my "responsibilities", and I did some things that I thought were just things I wanted done. I cleaned out every kitchen cupboard, drawer, countertop, stove, floor, etc. When I finished this "ME PROJECT", I stood back & had such a sense of accomplishment, & I looked around & was able to focus on how much I had to be thankful for. Through my "selfish desire", I was able to bless my single Mom of a daughter with an abundance of groceries & kitchen goods that would have otherwise gone to waste!. I am convinced that God can use everything we experience to be a lesson for us about His Grace & Mercy ! Bless your heart!!!!!!

Hi Patty, I know about that feeling. What I had to do (now this is not for everyone) due to health issues of my husband, and mine along with my heart's desire to bless and be a part of my grands lives is completely reign in my friendships as well as anything church related (we don't have any solid Biblical assemblies nearby anyway). Also making sure I did not get pulled into neighbor's requests (these were out of control). I also gave up some of my favorite hobbies, keeping my gardening and a quick craft occasionally. I'm sure this season will change at some point, but this is the only way I can maintain my sanity. For me my mission field is totally within the home. We also gather with our family for worship. This is pretty radical, so probably isn't something very helpful for you, but sometimes it's just helpful to hear of others struggles and solutions too! God bless and may He guide you in the way that glorifies Him, and blesses you and yours.

Patti, we love your chatting and you are very important! So don't forget to take care of yourself first so you can care for others. I know what it feels like to have that "pulled" feeling... my hubs calls me a people pleaser... wanting to take care of the world... haha. Oh, I am in the same place as you - feeling pulled. My grandkids are younger - 9, 2, and 1. My daughters live nearby and are here a lot; my son lives an hour away and I don’t see his family enough. My 91 year old mom is here for a month while my sister is traveling, and my husband and I are trying to figure out if he will be able to retire in February. I love them all so much and am so, so grateful for the relationships we have but I hear you when you say you feel pulled.

I work on puzzles everyday too. White Mountain puzzles are my favorite. I have a card table set up in the living room where I put them together.
