Radio is in beautiful shape since it has been around somewhere close to 43 years - it has been well taken care of.

I really liked you telling people to do the stuff they can do themselves. My dad was that way about all things.

Those old radios are coming back out of the closets - people are starting to realize how much better and clearer you can hear with the old radios. The filters in those old radios are just so much better. The only problem I see with them is finding the old Transistors,IC Chips,little microphone choke coils,mic connectors people have ruined trying to remove the spanner nut on them.

Hi Mike, for the capacitor that you added to the red wire you took off the on/off switch, what is the capacitor value? Also, I am not sure why you used the terminal strip, how does the capacitor go in circuit please? Does the ground of the capacitor only go to ground and what connects to the positive of the cap? Forgive my ignorance and thanks for any help. Thanks, Adam

Hey Mike, is there a reason that you connected the ground of the cap you added to the main board instead of the power supply board. Just wondering. The P.S. looks like a more convenient place to connect. Keep up the great videos and waiting with baited breath for the Electronics coarse.

This is my teaberry just purchased a few days ago I had some work done it and well I’m impressed with it but would like to see if I can get a bit more than 5 1/2 watts out it if possible I do have pictures of it
@mikesradiorepair2 жыл бұрын
The radio is not designed to do 5 1/2 Watts. It's a CB, it should do no more than 4 Watts AM carrier and 12 Watts on sideband. Doing so will only shorten the life of the output stage and put undue load on the power supply.

You mentioned in another session that the Teaberry Stalker has a call alert circuit. Can you tell me if the call alert is compatible with the system on the Johnson radios.

Where are you located? I have a few radios I would like to have service. Plus how much is that radio worth. I have a chance to buy one. Is $150 plus shipping good? There is no mic.

:23 Hey, that radio sounds "Loud and Proud", or in other words, like garbage! That Teaberry though, looks very nice even with the imperfections in the hour dial. Always did like the looks of Teaberry radios myself.

Mike is there any place where the old radio parts can still be purchased? I have some of the old President and Teaberry Radios I would like to put back stock. If you still have the older channel conversion for the upper and lower channels you have pulled from radios would you sell them.
@williamcolvin36097 жыл бұрын
The radios are PC-198 Main Board with the upd858c and upc1156h IC Chips,I need parts for.

This looks like the 142GTL chassis?
@justdoingit.435 жыл бұрын
It is the same board as the Cobra 148 as are many many other radios.
@ronedwards82393 жыл бұрын
@@justdoingit.43 No it is not. It’s the single conversion chassis. Tram D300, later President Washington, Teaberry and others.

Thank cobra and uniden, good radios back then had their boards in them. Many parts from parts radios could be used for more than one brand of radio.
