Makeup! I rub my face so many times during the day from frustration, aggravation, exhaustion etc., that it would be gone the second I get into the building. I no longer bother. My cheeks turn blood red the moment I walk into the classroom as a result of my blood pressure that I no longer bother. Have an awesome year Ms. Smith!

@@49lucky I think part of it is that you can stay hydrated because you can go to the bathroom any time you want 🤣🤣🤣. Then there's more sleep (afternoon naps are awesome) and a whole lot less stress. Now I know why my retired friends always looked so fantastic ☺

As I am a novice teacher I usually spend 5 minutes with my makeup and face cleaning in the morning. I prefer my makeup brush since I once used my fingers and the kids right on spotted a place that was not blent perfectly 😅 Btw shiny colours cover the lovely feeling of waking up early 😁

I, as a rookie teacher, once had to stay in clown makeup, wig, and costume for an entire day of teaching. I got roped into a music production that had a school day performance and one that evening. Drove 20 miles back home that night still in full makeup and costume. Got a lot of second looks at traffic stops along the way.

I laughed so hard!!! Thank you! It was a week (2yrs)!! Needed this. All true. I'm an art teacher and I can't *do* makeup. Too many rules and techniques to do on myself. I still have makeup from the early aughts, like super saturated color. Used to just- pack. it. on! Slap on some cover girl mascara and thought I was looking great. I think my elementary students would guess I am anywhere between 9 and 60ish. (?) Idk, sun spots and sweaty 'no-a.c.' hair is in, right? Ok great cause that's all I'm serving. Put on a mask and bear hug a teacher- with permission. Then give them a drink(s).

Lady, I feel you! I ditched makeup when we had to wear masks (I'm in Queensland Australia so our mandatory mask period was only a few months) and now it's summer and honestly screw wearing makeup in the summer. I did wear makeup to the formal (aka prom) last week, for the first time in months. Makeup is like a pain in the butt and if I can sleep for an extra 20 minutes by cutting it out of my life I will do that.
