wild baby dinos can also have mutations :D saw some myself.

So basically, they didn’t really change anything. They just made the mutation counter a separate number that can be transferred by itself. So what this does is keeps you always hunting and taming level 145+ dinos. Because if you manage to get a hold of one that has a higher base stat, you can transfer your mutation to the base stat. But this doesn’t allow you to go higher than the 255 stat cap. So all in all breed the same way as evolved, 00 females, mutated male. But until you hit stat cap always be taming 150 Dino in hopes for a better base stat for your line

you can go over the 255 "cap" on SP and unofficial. the cap only remains for offical

@@madfox7777But as long as a given stat is being represented as a simple, 8bit integer then you roll that stat over to zero. 255+1 does not equal 256, it equals zero.

@@boblienhart no you're wrong. They actually they changed it in asa you can mutate past 255. look at the info they posted on it in the community crunch a week or 2 ago.

Being able to transfer a mutation like that is a great QoL change. It was really annoying when you'd find a better stat wild than your current mutated line lol

7:46 so what would you do with this Dino now. You said you could have gotten the melee along with the health and stamina, since you didn’t what would you do with the Dino/could do with it….. also if you were to get the melee with it what would/could you do with? Basically what should you do?

I still don't see what is different between the ASE system and the new ASA mutation system. Can you show a side-by-side comparison and then give us your impression of which system is the better of the two?

Pretty much if u already in the middle of ur mutation line, and u happen to get a 224 wit a better Stat u don't have to start from the beginning. U can just transfer the mutation and have it wit the high stat

In ASE once you're well into a line it then Wild dinos stop mattering since the mutated stat transfers. In ASA now Wild dinos matter cause the mutation transfers separately from the stat. ASE: Breeder with 30hp base and 20 mutations (50 total), finding a Wild with 45 base hp is pointless, the 50 total is what transfers ASA: As above, but integrating the Wild 45 Base HP and the 20 Mutations will give you 65HP now as the 45 base and 20 mutations get rolled individually

Hey teach just curious on xbox so can't see for myself If this is viable but in relation to basebuilding and defence would it be possible to say having honeycombed base with turrets in between with say hidden doors as a barrier and then using a keypad to open all the doors and exposing all the turrets to incoming raids etc just an interesting theory/thought and how practical this would be, love the content keep it up bro

i think its just impractical, like it would be more value to just have all your turrets shoot at once, rather than hide some behind walls for no reason. although internals are good if thats what u mean

Can u make video if there is a Muta Cap 20/20 ? or hoq to reset the mutation to 0/0 ?

So say you raid a tribe and get there egg of a mutated creature, will breeding it with yours then add the mutations together onto the higher stat dino?

So is there a max amount of mutation stacks and if so does the maximum add up from all the different stats combined (health melee ect)

So what about if I don't really care about mutations? Like just regular wild dinos I tame, what's the best way to do those? For example I tame male and female lvl 150 horses, does it matter if I breed those right away or do I lvl them up then breed them? Does the offspring go to a higher lvl depending on what lvl you breed the parents? I think a video on the basics of breeding without mutations would be helpful for the dummies like me. I just don't think I'm ready for mutations just quite yet lol. Glad I found your channel btw, great videos

Stats from level-ups don't transfer to offspring. If you don't want to get into mutations, just try to get the best base stats you can through taming and combine them all into a male and a bunch of females for babies. Raise them and make sure to imprint on them for the bonus.

Also, I am assuming since they are separate counters it doesn't just double the total mutations counter now?

Wait .... I disagree this is not how it worked in ASE. It was the same then but just harder to understand because no Tek binoculars and they had no way to see even in admin unless you liked numbers 😜. Also there must be a chance of mutations on higher then 20. Rexes on ASA already have 00000/00000 and I still get mutations for example. Just so hard to keep track then. I'm very confused on the number of mutations in lines decreasing the chances. Though I have always bred my mutated lines from others with my fresh tamed myself.... Explains why I get lucky more often. But still I do get mutations on ones with thousands on both sides. Is this because 0% still has a chance?

being able to fold mutations into the new base stat is cool but with that and the wild babies it seems a lot easier now. Guess someone didn't like breeding on official. BTW it's name is (E*Quest minus the T sound so Ee-Quess)
