Make sure you have a window open first. The record won't come up if there are now apps to record.

Since Windows 11, the sound of is really bad when using XGame recording, OBS Open Broadcaster Software has been my replacement, and it's also free. Now I can enjoy audio with 44.1 Khz again, (not) thank you Microsoft, for making your product worse and worse ...
