I agree with her, because for the majority of teachers is so difficult to teach grammar to students. However, IT´S very important to develop this skill, and personally I LOVE TEACHING GRAMMAR TO STUDENTS!

Thank you so much for sharing this information. I strongly believe that part of our job as EFL teachers is pondering how to present a grammar point in an engaging way; that is, meaningful contexts where students will likely use tenses in conversations.

We had to learn everything through speaking .Of course , we took notes of grammar rules as well. I was skilled in all areas of the language. My teacher once told me ( in earnest) that I had gone past her level. I adored her . She'd taken up to learn some Russian !!!!! in order to employ / occupy herself . TY.

But this is the thing... the personalization techniques outlined were better suited for PAST continuous as these happened in the past. Therefore, "I was drinking wine with some friends". So even the experts can't come up with something good. Well, at least I'm not alone

Yes. It would be more effective to have students describe photos of things people are doing and elicit what is he, she, or they doing?

Exactly. Showing pictures of the past is misleading and should be avoided in this context.

That was what I was thinking when I saw it, too. The students I am currently teaching would pick up on this instantly.

But we can use it for both past and present.

You have some good ideas. However, it may not be the best idea to talk about the teacher's vacation lunch at an expensive restaurant when working with low-income students or the like.

Keep it simple; one word one meaning, one action taken, keep ambiguity out of the proper English language,
