Another great lesson guys, enjoyed the mike setup walkthrough and Gabs piece too. Yes that blues shuffle really is the meat and potatoes of so much. It never gets old can be embellished relatively straightforwardly, great for timing exercises etc etc. Bring it on home, next time,Gabs acoustic and vocals and yourself on the les paul.!!

I'm a bit late again, been too busy playing the same chunka-chunka shuffle in A and trying to sing at the same time. Bad idea! A handy new gadget there, the pocket version of a Focusrite to use with your phone or tablet. Another possible lesson idea would be how to swap the same chops around a bit to play an 8-bar blues for a change. Maybe Gab could give us the Erica Clapton version of Key To The Highway? It could only be better (MUCH better!) than mine.🤪

I like these ones. I liked the very early videos on this channel where he showed his students a couple of times too. But everything is good. I like the mix of everything I suppose. I don't agree about what he said about the picks though. I prefer soft ones because if I bend them a bit they become hard so I make it different levels of hard and soft. I don't know if it works with all kinds of picks. I use a sharkfin and I play mostly thrash and black metal when I play with a pick.

Glad you like me mixing it up. Variety is really important to me; I get bored doing the same thing as anybody would. There is no right or wrong answer with a plectrum, that’s why there are so many to choose from. But surely what I’m saying, makes sense? And I can only show Gab based on what I know. 🤌🏻
