At lvl 1000, you throw a book through a window and the ghost politely brings it signed for you at the doorstep before entering.

more interactions by the ghosts would be nice, like possession of players with low sanity. World like interactions that could happen on a very low 7% lightbulbs breaking disabling a light source permanently, doors actually slamming shut (bit also keep in the slow closing doors and locking sounds too), hallway scripted to have shadow figure in distance and if player approched it too fast, all lights and doors in hallway fling open with a shrill scream and some rare cases where the ghost smashes and disables the preinstalled cameras. i like how original the game is but i feel like it was missing some extra scare tactics and random and unpredictable events and scripts.

I would argue that the lack of jump scares makes such a large contribution to how accessible the game is. If people knew the game was a legit risk for cardiac attacks I don’t think it would be this popular to play and therefore earn the dev more income (although it might be better to watch)

@@RebelliousToe As someone who is a huge scaredy cat, I actually love Phasmaphobia for it's lack of jump scares. Yeah I get scared, but after you die for the fifth time, it's not as scary. Mocking the ghosts a bit helps lighten the mood. I know every time I have to check out the basement for emf/temp/bone/ouija board, I always curse a bit at the ghost. Also when the ouija board kindly lets me know that the ghost is in the basement. Thanks Margarete, can you like, not be in the freaking basement?

Hey, just thought I should let you know, I'm around level 200 and I recently figured out that even if you have your light on during the hunt, the ghost can't see it, it listens entirely to sound and will not notice lights or anything of that such. Thanks for pumping out the great content and I hope this tip can help you :)

They should have equipment in this game that produces a sound to attract the ghost. Like, it only operates from the truck, and requires input from a hunter, but It can draw the ghost towards it while it isn't hunting.

You just get used to it I guess. I switched to playing in VR 2 weeks ago and it was way scarier in the beginning, but today I was sitting alone in a bathroom taunting the ghost to attack me so I could get a picture of it. Basically just play a lot and you will stop being scared, haha.

I still get startled a little and hairs on the back of my neck stand on end, but I _hate_ the risk of losing items, so I wind up doing virtually all solo missions with just starter items, and it bugs me cause I want to use the good toys. I have a pretty mean challenge idea, Madhouse, you play on asylum, and you can't leave the building until you identify the ghost, and once you exit you can't go back in. You're also not allowed to bring or use 'spiritual' items, those being the Crucifix, Smudge Sticks, and the Ouija Board. You are allowed to leave one person inside the truck if you wish, so that they can check for orbs, but if no orbs are located then they must enter immediately after checking. If it's too easy, you could also play where anyone who witnesses a ghost event becomes 'insane' and can't speak until after the next hunt, after which they become sane again.

I'm pretty sure footprints/fingerprints can only give you money once. So yes you can get a picture of footprints for money, but in that run you may as well get a pic of the door, which would give you no reason to look for footprints.

Question about footprints, does the photo of a footprint in salt only count if there is a UV footprint visible? Because I've only ever had one picture of salt footprints count as "Interaction" and it was when the UV footprint was visible. It also doesnt look like any photo without a "title" above it makes a difference to the amount you get for photos. Or is my game just bugging out?

I usually give tips as they become relevant. Such as: if you want to find fingerprints but you don't have a UV but you do have a photo camera, then you can take a picture of the door and explain that to them.
