I taught mine over 3-4 months 40-60 hrs, she passed first time. Tester said I done a cracking job. This was a few months ago. I gave my other (16)daughter a surprise lesson. she's already got my confidence. Another natural.

Great video. Going thru this with my daughter now. A few weekends doing the basics with me to build confidence in car on quiet industrial estates and now she’s confident enough to be looking for an instructor.

Could you do a video on advice on older people learning driving, I’m 34 and learning and getting to grips with thinking is it any good to get my dad to take me out at weekends is it wise?to practice with my dad at weekends. Please help Kerry

I could do a video on that subject. The advise for you at this moment would be, yes go with your dad at weekends as a supplement to your own lessons. The extra time spent with your dad will help you speed up your progress. When I teach older pupils, I tend to see that they are more cautious. Good luck with your lessons. Thank you for watching

My old driver's Ed teacher used to say go out at night when nobody is out.

You can either take out a separate insurance for the individual or go on the parents insurance.

So happy that, that is not allowed here. All people that have learned to drive, can't pass the driving exam after a few years. They teach Ed them self wrong things like how to hold there steering wheel and don't use there mirrors any more. And they are going to teach there kids how to drive. Here you must get your driving lessons from a driving instructor and the driving instructor must every 5 years, do his tests over to extend it for an other 5 year. As he fails, he may not give lessons till he passes for it.
