As a teen who recently got their license I think the best thing you can do (if you are able to) is get driving lessons. After they are comfortable in a parking lot/ quiet roads is the best time to start. I know if I was only with my parents I would have never have gone on the highway and more busy roads. And an instructor will be able to explain turns and parking (my mom just said she just does it which is not very helpful for new drivers). TLDR driving lessons are great and I highly recommend

My son is taking an online course, so it’s parent taught driving. Since we live in the country, he’s always been behind the wheel of a golf cart or a small truck. After he got his permit, I let him drive on a two lane highway home. He did really well. So far he only has 10 hours of driving in. He needs to work on slowing down a bit when coming to a stop and changing lanes more smoothly. One thing I realized is that they teach driving on a road/highways but not driving in neighborhoods or parking lots. Same rules apply obviously, but teens need to be reminded what to look out for in these areas as well.

Hey I just wanna say thanks. A few months ago I had my driving test, and I watched over 5 of your videos, and took notes, and it helped me to pass my test. Things that you say are easy to understand.

This is helpful. I actually live near the area you made this video. What time of the day were you there? I want to take my daughter there early on a Saturday morning.

Hi! Could you please upload a video about how to deal with extreme tailgating? If there are two lanes I always move over to the right to let them pass, but my issue is in a small neighbourhood roads. Contrary to the US, in Europe we have very narrow single lane roads. This makes it a huge safety risk. I'm just letting off the gas and don't let the driver intimidate me. I know that deliberately braking will make the driver even more enraged and an even bigger danger. So I just let off the gas pedal, put on the 4 way flashers and pull over to the first available gap between parked cars if there's no other lane to move over. I found out that this is the best way to avoid road rage I don't know about the US but in Greece most drivers are maniacs and don't give a dime about traffic laws! They don't even stop at pedestrian crossings and the traffic police rarely bothers writing them tickets.
