If it somewhat follows the book. There are 2 aliens . The one in the boy and the one hunting it. The hunter is a galactic bounty hunter and it has no issues causing casualties to get what or who it’s after. Stinger is a good book and this looks like it’ll be a good series.

Robert McCamnon didn't sell his soul to Satan like Stephen King did. This was the first McCammon novel I read ,and loved it to no end. In the era of TV mini series like V, Something Is Out There, and It. Reading it I thought it was prime material for the mini series treatment. Or back in the late Eighties, early Nineties one Hell of a movie right up there with PREDATOR, ALIENS, and TERMINATOR 2. I'm not too wild about the liberties taken with this. But am still curious.

Robert McCammon was the poor man's Stephen King back in the 1980s. Stinger, Swan Song, Usher's Passing, Baal, They Thirst, The Wolf's Hour, The Night Boat, etc. Ghosts, demons, elder gods, vampires, werewolves, zombies, Edgar Allen Poe, H.P. Lovecraft, you name it, McCammon wrote about it.

It's been baffling to me how McCammon's books haven't been made into shows/movies before. Stinger was the first book of his I read in the late 80s, and even thought it is only loosely based, I've been excited for this and to see how they changed the book elements.

Hi, Nocturnal! Red Kiky here! I never knew about that book And I like to read a lot haha Well, I'm I Uruguay, so maybe this author is not well promoted here? Don't know SO... This series looks cool Maybe I'll put on my "to watch" list I might wait until you breakdown a couple more episodes, just to have more story developed to engage with PD: Saw 'Salem's Lot 2024 last night. I didn't see it as a remake but more a different adaptation to the novel I do prefer the novel over all 3 adaptations, but as for now of those 3 the 2004 is the closest to the novel (and it have Rutger Hauer and Donald Sutherland!) So, I gave it a 7.5/10 I actually liked a lot Gonna wait your next videos eagerly for more breakdowns! Oh! And I'm gonna be here for your next FROM video, episode 4 will be INTENSE!

So far this series just annoyed me with its pacing. Why did they do the thing where characters sit around and have a chat with a measly runtime of 30mins. So many weird things happening and yet the characters don't act like it. I watched the first episode and I just couldn't it. These people just make really stupid decisions. How can you have a kid get lost on his own property? We owned alot of acreage when I was younger and me and my brothers were always in the woods. we always had a general idea of what to do if we felt lost. Why would dad go off looking with the girl he' had affair with to look for son, is he trying to get caught. Plus his acting just felt really off to me. And I just didn't like the direction for the daughter and grandma, seemed like they were trying to do the edgy cool think with both and didn't feel real. I was super interested in this show because I saw alot of advertisements for it and I love horror, but I will probably not watch anymore.
