A very interesting video here, Andy. A nice relaxing tour. And I thank you for all the hard work you put in researching and the good commentary. Looking forward to future ones in the series.

The White House near The Smooting was also a post office along with a dozen or more other shops. Opposite the tea rooms was another pub called the Crown. The green house before the pub was a shop. The bridal shop used to be a Butchers. My grandparents lived at 11 Sandy Lane.

Love your videos, Andy, especially the church tours. Perhaps I haven’t yet gotten to it, but have you yet covered the location that serves as “Kembelford” in one of my favorite shows, “Father Brown”? Thanks! Greetings from Chicago!

The John Wilkinson plaque says "Mildmay", not "Mildway"; a little bit of online searching shows me it's in London!

I think they were too quick to knock down some of these beautiful buildings in the 60 s. Anything can be rebuilt with the money, so sad to loose them, usually someone will do it.

The building was unsafe! It was requisitioned during the second world way. Its demolition was by explosives.
