Great vid, it looks pretty good, i cant say much about your setup Because i am only racing carpet, but i think your buggy sits pretty high, i dont no how low you gotta be on clay, but on carpet we are running our buggys much lower, only 0.5- 1.5 cm max. Over ground

Ryan I love your videos man. I'm totally new to the RC world. I just built a rc106.1. I was going to get the TLR 22 but after watching your videos I went AE. This may be a dumb noob question but how many batteries do you recommend for club racing. I just bought a Ultra Power UP120AC DUO and Im just not sure what to do on batteries. Do you have race batteries and practice batteries or do you just use the same battery for both. How many should I buy? Thanks for the time man and keep up the good work!
@RyanHarrisRC6 жыл бұрын
Welcome to the hobby! Nice choice on the B6.1! As for batteries, I would suggest picking up 2 at the most. I would run one for practice and quals, with the other for the main. I suggest the Lipo Factory 2s shorty battery from Trinity to get started. Lower price point and still great performance.

Hey Ryan great vids! Did you shorten the black wire from esc to receiver? I have the same esc and it came with the single capacitor. Thinking of upgrading to the dual cap as it looks easier to place in the car nicely. Looks like you switched to 12AWG wire also. It was a mission to solder the thicker wire in but worth it aesthetically.

Sweet video. Looking at the factory lite edition. I run on dusty clay or clay. What is the pros and cons of a slipper eliminator for stock ? Thanks
@dylanchadderton16 жыл бұрын
ok so those rear stand-offs...what are they? They make the short ones for the b6 10mm and rear b6 14mm (the rear have fins)..but your rear ones do not have fins and they do not look like the 14mm b6 ones, i'm guessing medium 12mm (kit for b6.1). However, JC does not list these on their website. So were these given to you personally or are they actually available somewhere?

@rlmxracer6 жыл бұрын
Ok, have you tried the gear diff on the higher grip dirt? I have a HB D216 with a gear diff and a B6 with a both. In the B6 I have only run the ball diff, but have heard others are starting to use gear diffs on the clay tracks. Thanks.

Just to be clear do you run the b6.1 (not the b6.1d) on carpet and off road? Was wondering how it fared on a loose dirt track versus the b6.1d. It would be nice to have one that did well on both surfaces rather than having to buy both versions.
@RyanHarrisRC6 жыл бұрын
I should have clarified this in the video! Sorry! I got the B6.1 and grabbed a layback case to go with it in case I wanted a B6.1D! I had plenty of extra idler gears and ball diffs to swap out the gear diff if needed so it was an easy transition.
@floridalife78776 жыл бұрын
Ryan Harris ok nice! No big deal thanks! Another question.. I am building the B6.1 and have heard that some are using green slime instead of black grease for the gear diff O rings. What are your thoughts on that?

Very subjective to the type of track . For bearings I use the kit bearings at the moment!

Would you recommend 2wd buggy for a beginner? Or is it too difficult compared to 4wd buggy?
@marmilaguilar46265 жыл бұрын
I’m really considering get a 10 scale team associated buggy but I’m not sure if should I go 2wd or 4wd? Which one is easier to drive and durable ? Assuming both are assembled and setup right.. also which one needs less upgrades ?
@canadianrcs99315 жыл бұрын
Marimil Aguilar depends where you are racing. Most tracks would say to start with 2wd as it usually the more popular class. I started in 2wd mod buggy with a 10.5 and I really like it :)
