Regarding GX, there are few options with what to go for. -remain as it is, Rare Hunters -shadow raiders. Their goals are similar, but different. One wished for lover, another for youth, another for playthings? Now they weren't after the cards, but keys that held the sacred beasts in prisoned. -working for Chazz? In 2nd episode Chazz challenged Jaden to a duel, where the loser had to give their best card to the winner... Like what you're doing! -society of light! Brainwashed like some Rare Hunters. Their goal is to convert everything to the light and follow Sartorius. The arc where light=bad basically. Any other will change this drastically... I guess.

Ah, to spice it up you can have a revenge match up. Let's say duelist A lost to duelist B. In next part, duelist A can request a revenge match to win the card they lost. But only once for same card, it has to be the next episode and if they fail, it's duelist B's card from now on. And you can only request that if the card was originally yours, to avoid back and front matches for same card at stake.

Oh man, this set is so nostalgic. I remember playing with counterfeit cards with my cousin. Our neighbor was older than us and had a job, so he could afford to buy original cards (original cards to us were virtually impossible to get, only the rich kids had them). He had a beautiful foiled Lvl dragon deck and always kicked our butts, but even when losing just to have a chance looking a those cards was amazing. He was like our hero, and now that I have a job and can afford my own original pimped Dark Magician deck, I feel accomplished haha thanks for the videos and the nostalgia, so much fun!

Man, these duels are surprisingly back-and-forth. You've managed to build very different, yet somehow more-or-less equally matched decks, which makes these videos much more entertaining. Honestly, it feels kind of like watching classic Yugioh anime; well themed decks, long drawn out duels where both players get their boss monsters out, and a surprise finisher right when the game seems decided. I click for the pack opening, but I stay for the duel every time!

Thanks for going through the older sets and showcasing them in your duels. While there were a few misplays here and there, the duel itself was pretty on point with what we had at the time. Hey guys - regardless of the molten destruction mishap, Paul could have activated book of moon in Alec's end phase to flip over his solar flare dragon. Alec would not have been able to flip it back up, since it is past his M2. Paul only needed to normal summon a monster to win the game from there. Please upvote so they can see.

Armed Dragon LV5 could've defeated LV6 Horus, since Horus is unefected by spell cards it stayed at 2300 ATK. But then again when Ekibyo destroyed Solar Flare, Backfire should've dealt another 500 in this duel, which would lead to an even sooner end..so it probably didn't matter in a long run.

turn player priority always existed its just priority also exist for certain effect at this time what this means if i am right is end phase alec would of gotten to make first move as it a open game state he delcare the effect of solar flare then paul could of chained book but at that point too late he still get burned and like paul said if he did it in main phase alec could of just reflipped it

Any effects that occur at the end of turn, do so at the very end of the End Phase (after gameplay checks like hand size etc) so as nothing new was added to the field, no replay occurs and Book of Moon, at the start of the End Phase, flips Solar Flare Dragon down and stays down. I’ve not played this game since 2010/2011 so it could’ve changed since that time, I’m open to being wrong about it in modern rules.

Alec once again showing why the Fire Burn deck is one of the best of this era. Casual, simple to build but also deadly as a knife and beautifully designed in competitive Yugioh. Still let's give Paul a round of applause for channeling his inner Chaz by giving us a Duel Links perfect "Welcome Armed Dragon Level 5!" X3 Loved that. Also for using Dark Mimic which even my stupid fiend loving butt only did once before deciding the Lv3 is fine as fodder but nobody is getting the full combo off. XD Even in boom Yugioh. All in all a great duel all around!

I actually pulled an Armed Dragon Lv7 in those days and added it to the dragon structure deck that came out around the same time. Good times. Also, iirc that dragon deck and the zombie deck were the first structure decks to come out too, since before then the precons were basically themed around characters

Rare Hunter Standings: Paul: 5-7 Alec: 7-5 Alec spits the hot fire leaving Paul absolutely burned. Merik will be elated to revive such a rare card however, good work. Paul suffers back to back losses, yet if he left the luggage at home, may have fared that much better, regardless of the Horus Lv. 6 effet thing mentioned in other comments. (Personally dont think it would have caused a difference in the outcome regardless, culdnt say myself, I dont play the game, just love watching TCG battles.) Has anybody mentioned that your Jinzo is a reverse Secret Rare? The Jinzo's secret foiling goes diagonally from top left to bottom right as opposed to top right to bottom left normally
