It was surprisingly the same in the late 90's with the drinking fountain situation. All the kids stood in a line, and waited for their turn for a 3 second drink of water. I HATED that 3 second count-down during the "privilege" of drinking water. How is that okay?? I openly complained about it then as well. "I'm still thirsty!!!" i would say. Other than that, i was a pretty good kid. Humans literally need water to live, and kids are given a 3-second water-drinking count!? WTH? The kids in class should be given reusable bottles to have at their desks; something like that; idk... i truly despised that situation as a kiddo. I have no idea what it is like now.

Thank you, Gary. My 3rd grade teacher in 1974 (1st day of school) asked us: Does anyone know what the term “Women’s Liberation means?”. I stupidly raised my hand, for I had seen women on TV burning their bras and taking on Billie Jean King. I responded “When women try to act like men?”. (Hey, I was only 8 years old, and it was a very confusing time.) Needless to say, this woman put things into my Student File that tortured me into the latter portion of my high school days, which of course is why I am the way that I am. The upside of the story, though? She got fired in 1975 when someone found her bottle of vodka in her desk drawer. So there’s that.
