Gary is like the standup equivalent of Paul Simon, he writes classics you can't hear too much.

He throws so much out there with every sentence that makes me smile or laugh, little nudges and nuances that he paints with whether the audience picks up on them consciously or not. The sum, then, is always this buildup of mirth that he coaxes out of us. It’s always a pleasure to buckle in and go on his rides.

It's so interesting to see the difference between Gulman's reception on talk shows vs. his stand up. The way he keeps his audience rolling in stitches during normal stand up is a far cry from how you can audibly hear the audience at talk shows not know what to make of him. The Malcolm Gladwell bit for example goes over the audience's heads, just a bit fast for them to pick up on because they don't know what the punchline is, so they don't know if that's where they're supposed to laugh. But during his normal routines, the audience has already been fed so much to laugh at that they're basically on a high throughout his whole routine. The difference between the state abbreviations on the album and on Conan are night and day honestly, and that's saying something profoundly because of how well received his tv routine was. What a gift Gary Gulman is. My favorite comedian hands down.

Did it once, and they put steak in my VEGETARIAN burrito, that they knew better because they even wrote vegetarian on the wrapper. On top of that, they doubled the order. So I got TWO f’d up meat burritos. Then they make you call some 1-800 number for a refund, which takes an hour of talking to a middle-aged lonely woman, as she likes to chat about everything and anything like we are an old friend, and the refund doesn’t go through the first time around so you have to call again in a couple days’ time. Not to mention the fact that when I first called in, it was like 9:45pm, and I guess they leave work at 10pm, but the robot kept telling me to hold on while music played, so I was on hold for like 40 mins before I gave up. Worst ever experience ever for ordering online, and will never do it again.
