I was an EHS specialist on construction sites and would over hear married men talk about other women, as if single. I found it so disappointing. There was one person that was on the project many years, that respected and loved his wife and was such an honorable person. Those were important moments in my life. I am 71 and I am so grateful to hear these two actors I have admired over the years speak so beautifully about their wives, their favorite companions. Thank you. I came back to also comment on how reading about Jeff Bridges mother gave each of her sons undivided attention with their own special time impacted me as a single parent with my two children. I came from a toxic family. I embraced the Bridges family stories and implemented them as best I could as a parent. Thank you also for those stories. Real people, real kindness.

I work as a bus driver, the only woman amongst 60 odd (older) men. To my surprise, they are incredibly respectful and proud of their wives, I overhear them talking sometimes when they don't know I'm there. They joke around, of course - but most of them are grateful to the women in their lives.

Jeff Bridges has been one of my favorites since I first saw Thunderbolt and Lightfoot in the theater back in the day. His sense of joy is palpable. Starman is another one of my favorites. Thanks for a wonderful hour of two men sharing about marriage and lives well spent.

@@chrisdierking5108 haha! That totally slipped my mind! Yes, I would've loved a discussion on Kingpin and The Big Lebowski and a Farrelly Brothers vs. Coen Brothers discussion. Well, Jeff's just going to have to come back another day when Woody's around, that's all there is to it.

I showed my 16 year old nephew the movie Hot Shots a few weeks ago and he absolutely loved it but absolutely fell in love with Lloyd Bridges. He was already a huge fan of Leslie Nielsen (Naked Gun & Airplane were his favorite movies growing up) but he said to me that Lloyd Bridges was just as great which is high praise in my book. It goes to show even the youngest generation can enjoy these legendary movies & actors.

How do people like Jeff and Henry Winkler even exist? Even your day to day interactions with any random person can be so jaded or divisive. Jeff has gone through the entire Hollywood life somehow with the joy and perspective and self assuredness of a Buddhist monk (or maybe a Dude) and brings nothing but enlightenment and happiness to the world. We are so fortunate to have this perspective to help offset the political and life b.s.

I kind of love how clueless is Ted about the Cohen Bros. and Jeff's career with them. Not the usual revering everybody else goes for (not undeservedly, of course). It might even be a breath of fresh air to Jeff having confirm to him that they did Lebowski.

What a lovely conversation. It made me really think. In particular, I love that idea of taking activism local instead of trying to get feds to pay attention. Make a different on a local level, with people who stand to benefit from doing work on a local level, and if it's successful then the feds will take notice (even so, don't let them step in and corrupt it for another photo opportunity or another check on a list of ways to boost their metrics.

Jeff Bridges on this show in Big Lebowski fashion and than Ted stumbling on making a reference to it as a previous Cohen Bros movie. This is the theme about Teds character selection that is his gift. He can put a momentary clueless pause in between point and reception like no other. He can thwart Captain Obvious and make him have amnesia. I call it an "Impeccable Folley."
