Conan definitely has love and warm feelings of affinity in the Armenian community. I attest to that, not just because of the show, but because of who he is and his Irish ancestry. Like Armenians, the Irish have a diaspora, and Conan is an example of that diasporic overseas history. He remains proud of his heritage after many generations, a feeling familiar to Armenians. Both Irish and Armenians have had their share of historical struggles. Additionally, there are many Catholic Armenians dating back to the 10th and 11th centuries, so Catholicism is also a big part of Armenian cultural history, not just Christian Orthodoxy.

The start of this exactly how I experience working with people from the US. The fact Conan is so understanding and humble, especially when it comes to culture and race, it comes out authentically in his comedy. He can joke about race without being offensive. One particular joke that was so clean and so beautiful was when he describes the first time he heard Sona speak Armenian and that it sounded like she was arguing with Dracula. 😂
