@kenscarpa2318~~My son got me to listen to this guy like over 10 years ago~~He told me I probably wouldn't like him~~It was my day off and started watching him~~My son walked in the door and said I heard you laughing when I pulled up in front of the house~~He noticed I was watching Steven and I had gut pains from laughing so hard~~I said this guy is a total trip~~He really wasn't sure I'd like him~~Years passed before I accidently found him again~~He pulls me out of my depressions~~I'm so happy he never changed in his older years~~My other fav comedian was George Carlin~~May he R.I.P.~~🤣🤣🤣

Harland Williams is who I think made Conan laugh the hardest because he was beyond off the wall. Conan is the best late night host ever because he spent 100% of his time trying to make whatever the guest was doing, work. Plus he never went woke. I can't stand Colbert, Kimmel etc. They're just pandering idiots for a political ideology. Conan just wanted to make friends and make people laugh.

I feel dumb to admit this but I've never heard of this guy. And now I'm seeing clips of his comedy and he's fantastic. Plus this interview was just great. Just like he shows how deadpan can be so funny and varied, this interview showed you don't have to construct a fake conversation or image to be entertaining. It's just a fascinating conversation so long as both people are honest, an have amazing experience.

2 of the greatest, to do it, absolutely killing, without the dirty shovels. It's like, watching different elements, supporting each other. Complimentary, but, obviously, in different gears. Steven Wright, is my favorite Living Stand Up, and Conan, nearly, put him into another category. Steven, finds himself, wherever he goes. Conan's delivered, the Funniest Moments, on Television, imho, and now, delivers the funniest moments on podcast; but at the same time, reveals a deeper side of himself, and his guests. "Tight Bamboo Drills", should be the name of Conan's Workout Video Series.

2:10 Not surprising at all that he’s not “laid back” in his mind. One must have a sharp mind to be as good as Steven Wright. He has a brain that is functioning at a high capacity. The ability to create, analyze, use language skills, and perception. The great comedians usually have this gift. It’s like being able to think of a million things at once and still pay attention. I was lucky enough to see Steven Wright live. He was awesome, of course.

When I was a kid the 80s, Columbia House put these flyers in the paper where you could get six cassette tapes for a penny and yes you were supposed to tape a penny to it and mail it in. Then they would send you a form with related titles like every two weeks that you had to mail back saying you didn't want them or else they'd send them automatically and your mom would have to write a check to bail you out and cancel your "membership". Anyway, I taped a penny to one and got six tapes including White Lion, Stryper, Def Leppard, DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince, The Fat Boys, and Steven Wright's "I Have a Pony". That last one had the more of an effect on me than anything else.... thankfully.
