I'm so glad someone else lays out their kids clothes for a week at a time!! My husband thinks I'm crazy but I find it so much easier to take 10 min on Sunday night to look at the weather and my calendar to pick out her outfits than having to look every morning!

During the winter I stock up on snacks , juices, paper plates ect anything for picnics or I can use at the park . When it's Spring time I take 2 small rubber maid containers and fill one with everything for a picnic and one with balls, bubbles things they can play with. I stock these every week and keep them in my van during spring and summer. With ball practice, cheerleading practice we never seem get home to late or just a last minute want go to park and have a picnic you will have everything you need. We seem to live at the park during the warm months.I just found this so much easier an cheaper. You can get valintines and Christmas paper plates cheap LOL

Two things where did you get the monthly meal planner calendar? & two when you plan for the month do you buy groceries weekly , or at the beginning of the month?
@Amy.Darley6 жыл бұрын
I grocery shop every 2 weeks for majority of the stuff (I use Walmart grocery pickup). Then the off weeks, I do a quick stop at the grocery store for any produce or things that we still need (usually isn't much). Here's the link to the meal planning sheet that I download for free: www.frugalmomeh.com/2015/12/printable-meal-planner.html#_a5y_p=4883247

How do you get the motivation to plan meals and such. I have full intentions of doing so but struggle bad.... 😭I love the thought of being organized but always get side tracked
@Amy.Darley6 жыл бұрын
well, that's why I do it ONCE a month. I don't LOVE planning meals, but I know if I do it monthly, I don't have to get motivated to do it every week like most people do. I highly recommend trying it for a few months that way.

I love the snack and outfit prep! In my town the kids wear uniforms to public school, which makes it so much easier! I really want to start meal planning. I have a 2 1/2 year old who is a picky eater so I'm sometimes making two meals to make sure she has something nutritious. Plus I think this will cut back on our grocery bill.

I loved this video ! I do basically the same thing, on Sundays. I also prep any fruits into containers for lunches, as well as make little baggies of pepperoni and cheese for after school snacks. It's so much nicer to be prepared, in the mornings ! I would do the clothes on Sunday, but I have two girls, and they love to argue about their outfit for the day !

Such a great video - I love organization! I’m also OCD, so this video is so satisfying. I’m going to check out Bloom planners. I was about to purchase an Erin Condren planner, but the Bloom seems to have everything without purchasing “extra” like EC is. Thank you for sharing!!
@Amy.Darley6 жыл бұрын
haha I love it! The Bloom Planners are a lot more simple than the EC planners. I think the EC planners are amazing, but I honestly don't do all the extra stuff. I'm pretty basic when it comes to planning.
@mallorypower416 жыл бұрын
I prep on Sunday’s very similar to you! We have 3 year old twin boys & a 5 year old girl. Mornings can be chaotic. I make their lunches & pick out their clothes the night before school. My husband & I make a meal plan for week on Sundays & discuss any nights he will be home late or early. I like to leave a note on the counter for anything that I need to be reminded of. I also make sure the kids backpacks are ready to go & we have groceries for the week if possible. I like your white board from Liz. So cute & functional. I’d like to try some new recipes after the new year. Maybe we will try home chef!

😍 👍 🔥 3:03 Family Prepper....the best !! The Wife plans all the meals (breakfast/lunches/dinners) , and home cleaning duties for the family (cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, basement, laundry room, play area, living room, kitchen, seating area, Windowed lounge area, library, hallways, stairs, and takes care of all the money. She is great with Budgetting & Bills. I plan family travel trips, and plan the drives for school events with gkids (hockey, lacrosse, music classes ,ballet, martial arts classes ,community events ..etc). I do the planning for our garden, and land maintenance, home repairs, .... Everything else we plan together......Restaurant choices, Pantry organization & rotation of supplies lists, 3 vehicle maintenance, family time, reading schedules, (yes we read to each other after 2 decades of marriage),

I plan almost exactly like this too Amy! #twiniswear :) . We lay out clothes in a 10 space shoe organizer that hangs in their closet (the boys share a room). My kids like the pretzel/marshmallow snack also but we use chocolate chips...teddy grahams is a good idea. On busy nights I like to plan crock pot meals. I'm starting to prep meals at nap time also or any time during the day I can because Brielle is so clingy before dinner time. Another thing that makes my mornings smooth is to pack the bags and lunch (minus the sandwich) the night before. Having the lunch packed a ready is a game changer for me.
@Amy.Darley6 жыл бұрын
yes girl!!!! #twinsies I love it!!!! I need to get better about packing lunch the night before too. I have lunch items all in one drawer in the fridge so that does make it easier for me in the mornings and it doesn't take me long, but still.
