You see that, Netflix? No manufactured drama, no misrepresentation of the sport, no lazy cliffhangers... Just humanity, honest emotion and respect for the sport and the riders. That's how it's done. So emotional seeing Jonas, Wout and all the team. Best time to be a cycling fan 🙌🏼

I disagree massively with his. I wouldn’t be watching this without the Netflix show, my girlfriend would have zero interest in cycling without the Netflix show, which she binged in a week. This is excellent work, really well done, but it’s also horses for courses. I’m also a massive Rugby League fan and I wish Netflix would manufacture the extra interest in the sport that they did for cycling. The manufactured drama and introduction of the riders as characters to non fans is more important for the growth of the sport than accuracy for the fans it has already. Definitely don’t disagree that this is a great time to be a cycling fan, and I’m only just starting that journey (outside of casual TDF watching) now. Peace!

Yeah the 1st season was good as it was in F1. The 2nd was waaaayyy too dramatic
@ResizeFilms5 ай бұрын
The Netflix doc TDF Unchained is actually pretty good unlike the one they make for F1 called ‘Drive to Survive’ which is overly dramatized, misrepresenting the sport and heavily edited to fit a narrative that aligns with Netflix’s goals of creating a storyline for a broader audience and lacks technical insights. TDF Unchained feels much more authentic, and balanced while still capturing the intense drama of the sport without overly manufacturing it. It’s a good one.

It is really a privilege to see a male role model that can actually show emotion and be openly vulnerable without shying away from his feelings. It takes time to recover from a big crash, certainly when it was a downhill crash. Last January I had a massive crash myself. It was actually Ben Healy who helped me out, he was the first guy (and maybe even the only other rider that day on that hill) who went down the same hill (near Panta de Sesqueda) and he could stop without crashing... I was lucky to wear a helmet (it was totally broken), without it....... My wife had to take care of our cat by herself... I'm still not fully recovered. Although physically I am really recovered. With a big scar on my knee and my left leg... Mentally I'm not over it yet. It takes more time. Vingegaard (and also Evenepoel, Wout, and all the other riders who suffered big crashes) are really heroes! Many heroes don't wear capes. I actually know many heroes who wear a Visma-Lease a Bike jersey :-) Come on Killer Bees! Vamos en Espana!
