The scanned turtle - what a lovely picture but could you imagine such an installation in britain if the images weren't vetted before being added ? oh dear :) I think that umbrella lockers would probaly work just to prevent people from accidentally taking another similar looking one.
@cakeswithfaces5 жыл бұрын
There are a lot of things in Japan that wouldn't work in Britain probably! :-) Yes, everyone has those clear umbrellas from the convenience store like I had (I actually love them because they let the light through so they're less gloomy than black umbrellas!)

We were there last Thursday! Really magical experience and the crystal world was my favorite too. Would recommend a visit but it can be tricky navigating between rooms and knowing which ones you have been in! Now returned from our 3 1/2 wk trip and just loved Japan! X

@carolinefaller2735 жыл бұрын
Cakes with Faces we certainly did! Umm favs....loved the buzz and fun of Dotombori in Osaka. Food wise Okonomiyaki was scrummy and a great dining experience. Most surprising place was Hiroshima. Was expecting it to be dark and bleak but was so much the opposite. The Peace Park was so tranquil and such a beautiful setting. Just ambling amongst the memorials and hearing people’s stories was amazing and thought provoking. Would urge others to go. Loved feeding the naughty deer at Nara! Also loved the country areas of Nikko and Hakone.....lovely being surrounded by lush tree covered mountains. We even had a wild monkey run out in front of our car......couldn’t believe our eyes! In general the people are so friendly and helpful and its so clean and efficient. I could go on..........Amy do you live there or just visit regularly?

This place has been at the top of our must-do list for awhile. I can't wait to see it in person! (5 more months. *sigh) It looks magical. Crystal World, the cafe tea room, and the room with the lanterns are the ones I most want to see. Was the cafe hard to find? It seems like most people miss it or don't show it in their videos.
@cakeswithfaces5 жыл бұрын
The cafe is upstairs - Phil's not a tea fan so we weren't on the look-out for it. I think downstairs is more of a maze than upstairs, but then I missed the lantern room and that's upstairs. So just explore everywhere!

That place was awesome and totally recommended it. When I went there the line was long but the queue moved quickly. I think I got in within 30 minutes. Only problem was google maps didn’t know where it was and took me to the back of the centre. Honestly though, Odaiba itself was great.

I've heard Odaiba's a love it or hate it sort of place, because it doesn't feel like the rest of Tokyo. But there are lots of interesting things to do, and the seaside park's so lovely when it's sunny.

Thanks you. I want to go here on my next trip and you answered a few of my questions. What is your tip to see some of the best rooms (like that room you missed)?
@cakeswithfaces5 жыл бұрын
There aren't any maps so you just need to really explore, go through all the doorways and curtains and walk around everywhere! I didn't look at the website before I went (I didn't want spoilers!) so I didn't realise there were rooms I hadn't found. So if you did, you'd know if you'd seen everything or not! The room with the lanterns (like in Tangled - wish I'd seen that one!) is upstairs, not sure how I missed that one exactly. Hope you enjoy it!

Other place to my list 😁😁🤩 how much time do you spend there? I'm planning to go to the onsen..then the museum of technology and then this...do you think is gonna be enough time?
@cakeswithfaces5 жыл бұрын
I spent 3.5 hours there - and you could easily spend longer! You could definitely do two of those - whether you can do all three depends how much energy you have! I saw a video recently of someone visiting the onsen in the evening and it looked magical with lights on in the footbath garden when it's dark. I really enjoyed Miraikan (the science museum) - I went there before I started making videos! The best part is seeing Asimo the Honda robot.
@oscarpaiz795 жыл бұрын
@@cakeswithfaces The thing is I noticed that the onsen is like a team park-ish hahaha or a place for families and couples and..well I'm doing a solo travel this time so don't have a girlfriend at this moment to fully enjoy it..I think I will spend my time in TeamLabs and the tech museum. Anyway, I will have plenty of chances to visit an Onsen (remember that I'll visit the Dogo one... :) )

I went there last week and yes, it was amazing. Some of the parts I already knew from Singapore. I hope you did not miss the room with the lamps (because it was not a part of your video). The only minor issue I had there was that they did not provide a map were the different rooms / instalations are.
@cakeswithfaces5 жыл бұрын
Yes that's what we missed - the room with the lamps! 😭 It looks amazing, like Tangled! :-) A map would make it easier to see everything, but I can see why they want you to have a sense of exploration, and experience the moment rather than looking at a map!

Does anyone know if the one with the water contains chlorine? I'd love to go but I'm allergic to the stuff.
@leirem05 жыл бұрын
We went to TeamLab planets in March and I am 90% sure it was (or at least smelt) chlorinated - I think it has to be for hygiene reasons but worth checking.
@cakeswithfaces5 жыл бұрын
It doesn't say on the website; could be worth getting in touch with them to ask. I'm guessing they must use something in the water for hygiene. Maybe someone who's been could comment on whether it smells of chlorine?
@tinsley78505 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I have checked the website previously but hit a brick wall. I said to my other half it must have either chlorine or fluorine in (I'm fine with fluorine), but then he pointed out that onsen water doesn't contain either & that threw me a bit of a curve ball!
