Yikes. Full mana warlock with sage's mask playing out of lane, that hurts. Warlock's biggest lane presence comes from being able to spam heals and allow a core to just soak harassment, goading the all-in into upheavals and bad calls. You use that to let the enemy get whittled down by level 3-4 and start investing in their own heals, and that's where you start doing pulls and stacks, coming back to heal, pulls and stacks, come back to heal, so on and so forth. They will either start to focus you for being separated (core gets farm), or your core will become fearless (and get farm). It's not perfect. But you don't play out of the lane as a warlock, man.

Alright, I feel like I could write an essay about my frustrations with this match, it's been like two weeks and I'm still reeling from the effects. To keep it short though, I was veno pos 4, feeling pretty good after having watched your guide on veno not too long ago. Our lane went decent I'd say, killed slark and SS a few times, which let Dawn do her thing. But it feels like my morphling was a big nothing-burger, and my jakiro was just bad. The entire team didn't really want to group either, whether it be to fight tormentor or to help each other when a fight was starting (looking at jakiro...) I acknowledge my own weaknesses in the match, especially in the late game I feel like I fell off a bit as their raw initiation was to be admired, stopping my from using my spells. I only bought my shard hoping that Morphling would get his when we defeated the tormentor the second time, seeing as he was getting stun locked and killed rather easily. I see faults in my positioning and a few of my ward choices, but overall I feel like this wasn't my fault. Here is the matchID: 7221818179 (Archon II btw)

1,9K MMR Average ranked role Queue - I play AXE offlane (Sidge). Match ID: 7244388325 During draft, our hard support picks Necrophos and decides to play pos 4 instead. I immediately express my dissatisfaction with support Necro (especially at crusader level) - but he assures me to "let him cook". There were many things wrong with this game and I would love you to tell me otherwise but I truly feel it was one of those unwinnable games. Their Rubick was a smurf and our mid Clinkz died 19 times in 40 minutes. I win my lane against AM despite having 0 impact from my Necrophos support. In fact, I would say he griefed me in moments early on in the laning stage as I am trying to pull agro against AM - as to not take damage and mana burn from AM as a low levelled Axe that isnt too strong in the first 3 levels. Despite the Necrophos, I take the tower early and limit AM to a 16 minute BF with no boots completed. I feel as if I have done pretty well. I decide to go blink first to try and help my teammates address their endless feeding sitaution as soon as possible, plus blade mail wouldn't do too much damage against their team during my call due to their hereos - and I knew AM was behind so wouldnt be joining fights for at least 10 minutes. I also go pipe before blademail to address their massive amounts of magic damage and again blademail was only good against AM. I would love to know what I can do better in lane and directly after lane to help stop the enemies' rapid snowball. I won't lie, at around 30:20 I am hunting AM as I know he is alone farming and I thought Lifestealer was near me - as thats what he communicated on coms - and we could kill AM. I die stupidly, I should've had a smoke and LS should've been infested in me and then it's a kill. A combo we never got right at any point in the game (my bad). So my mistake, I end up dying stupidly and kinda give up at that point. I respawn and get a half-hearted triple kill, we all run down mid, get team-wiped and lose the game. I am entirely sure there are many things I could do better, but mainly I would like to know how I could have done better in lane and directly post lane to help stop their massive snowball earlier. I think Necro support is horrible and genuinely grieved my lane and then had very little impact throughout the game (he bought an Sange & Kaya on SUPPORT Necro ffs). To be honest it felt like only myself and Lifestealer had any significant impact on the game from our team. Please confirm with me that this is more my team's fault then mine.

it's crazy to see how many mistakes this warlock made at Divine. you have to be in lane as soon as the waves meet. games are lost at the first wave at that bracket. Very little room for error. If he was in lane at the very beginning, he can throw the heal damage on the SB or pudge and right click them to zone them out. also the terrible map awareness and spider senses of a SB+pudge hook is alarming. overall, terrible timings in that first 5 mins of the game cost the game starting from minute 0. also warlock 4 is not a thing. Dont grief your team by doing that. This is speaking from a level 30 warlock in divine myself.

Low ELO Supports are more than often terrible at their core job, specially Pos5 players. So often they leave their pos1 alone, not pulling creep waves, dont push enemies out of the lane or atleast keep them low hp, not ready to use their spells to save their pos1 when he is getting ganked, farming their own core items instead of buying wards or heal for their pos1. Same goes for Pos4 players, who never TP to help pos1 when there is a huge gank on Pos1 which includes massive tower diving. In the end everybody blames the carry for not beeing 6 slotted, although there was little he could do about it, because he never had a Team around him.

if you can communicate with your 3 to shove your creep wave and do a a hard camp pull so that you can leave your lane and try to gank mid to help your mid recover by getting a kill and keep your 3 near tower. or you can keep making enemy's 1 suffer if your lane is winning. then you and 3 can gank their 2 to try to halt their growth.

I'm pretty sure this could be a pretty interesting replay Match ID : 7235111855 My Hero : Undying (Pos 4) Screwed up teammate : LC (Safelane) and Huskar (Midlane) Explanation : In this game, I think that my laning stage as pos 4 was not bad and quite winning the game until mid-game 20min. Although my safelane LC is quite having a bad time on her lane, But me with my pos 3 able to force enemy offlane rotate to our lane to help their safelane. But even thou they rotate, we didn't die or feed them. Because of that I'm pretty sure my LC safelane should have get so much space for farming in her lane and jungle, but unfortunately she didnt do that and trying to join a fight instead without any items despite his bad laning stage. After that, in mid-game I tried to create more space, make a play and defending our space while we are pretty much stronger and have more resources than the enemy team. But I don't understand what my Huskar mid and LC safelane trying to do.. They keep doing some stupid things like when forcing a fight when we have no resources and enemy team are all gone in Fog of War OR they just running away to farm some jungle camps or walking around without any clear intentions what to do in the game when we have resources to fight or defend the tower. It's pretty sure the game escalates from winning to losing badly because there's no good teamwork at all while the enemy team has a good teamwork and clear intentions what objective they can get in the game. I have tried to do my best what I can in the game, but because the communication is sucks and no teamplay at all. My team really don't know how to play or what to do in the game. So I decide to give up and abandon the game by AFK jungle in the game because I know there's no way my team can win the game anymore. Please help me review what can I actually do more in this game or is it actually a truly not win-able game in your perspective @ZQuixotix? I hope my replay could be a good content for you too

While I agree with a lot, this is the first video where I also disagree with a lot of what was said. 1. Not sure how he's "late to the lane" because he's forced to go to pos 5 when he Queued pos 4. He kept harping on this, "if you were there it would've been different." For the scenario (supports switching untimely), this is solely on SF for his positioning, getting hooked and not playing more defensive. I guess the advice here is get to the lane faster and learn Spanish so you know this? Side note: there are a bunch of mistakes Warlock makes but I'm not addressing that... 2. He says Warlock's partially to blame when SF farms the small camp and then proceeds to feed near the large camp? No. If SF didn't farm the small camp at around 4 36 either of them could've pulled it (yes the carry can pull too) and then not feed. He says he missed a pull which causes this. Again no. If SF didn't farm it, it could've been pulled. Could warlock have played the lane better? Yes. But there's still a matter of degrees. Who's fault is it anyways? SF. 100% Should Warlock be able to learn from this game and improve? Yes. Laning still primarily SF's fault. Wish there was more, like mid game and late game situations. I've played so many 2v1 with supports actually griefing by being afk in fountain, etc. and it's hard as hell. Easy to die. Stressful. But you can learn to play it and comeback from it. And losing some creeps is much better than feeding. I've been there where I feed by bad positioning and say my bad. This lane is hard but I'll do my best. Love the series. Keep em coming. 🙂
@gabe-i4w Жыл бұрын
You seem to completely miss what this series objective is. He's not doing a match review to tell SF how to play better, but how Warlock could've been more impactful. He quickly addresses when SF was at fault in some situations, but that's usually to show the person watching that he sees these as well - and again, they're not what we are watching this for. At 4:36 Warlock not pulling was 100% his fault. Not only he was there in time, but SF was finishing farming the current wave. SF barely made it in time to try to pull and probably would have to use Raze for it which would compromise a lot the pull efficiency anyways.

Match ID: 7241913781 Hero: Lion I had a horrible game and I feel like my team didn't help me enough to cover the things we had to do and I ended up falling really behind, they had a lot of heroes that stopped me from playing so I was pretty much left without anything to do for the whole match, I ended up getting annoyed overall but I was still trying to play I think clinks should have helped me more around or at least get something done but I felt like both of my sidelanes weren't proposing much and were just really static. Overall I just think my team is wrong on trying to blame the whole game on me.

7246449212 i was playing undying i think my game drag out when we could have finished 20 mins earlier. laning was decent except tide kept dying to muerta and cm. fast forward to around 24 min, my team kept forcing mid when there are other important objectives in the map. since my hero is undying i have no choice but to join them fight because i cant push alone. i was telling them to go for tormentor and the tier two top tower. from there we kept taking bad fights and diving their base. still won but i think it should have ended sooner.

Dude that Shadow fiend is a useless Hook magnet,No wonder he lost in a divine match especially with his h0rrible positioning against a H00ker pudge in that lane👍
