Something to share about the Champ Toomey. I was at the Games this year and two moments stood out about this woman as a true Champion. Toomey was the only woman competitor to start cheering for Dahlstrom when she had already been eliminated from the sidelines during the Sandbag ladder. The other women around her started cheering for Dahlstrom only after they saw Tia cheering. And the next day during the Alpaca, after Tia was finished, she was the first competitor that went across the field to support Rayl and Fuselier, who were both in last place. The other competitors only got involved to support after Tia was out there. She is a Champion when she’s not winning and a Champion when she’s winning. These were my favorite two moments from this woman.

So the idea is just to not mention Ricky ever again? Seems odd not to talk about the 3rd place finisher. No matter your personal bias what he did was pretty spectacular. To be away from the sport for four years over the peak of your athletic capabilities and then come back and podium! Impressive

I don't like the sub requirements that they've added to workouts. Like the rower having a max time in addition to the max time for the entire workout. I don't like it because it takes away from the athletes ability to strategize and tackle workouts in their own way. Giving the athletes that ability is exactly what made some of the best athletes in previous games excel. they knew where and how to time efforts and outputs. It's one of the biggest advantages that seasoned athletes bring to the table.

I can’t wait for the future battles between Mal O’Brien and Emma Lawson. It looks like we are going to have many years of back and forth between them. Last year Mal moves up to compete in the Individual Division a year early at 17 years old, and surprises everyone with a 7th place finish! Now this year Emma Lawson follows suit, and moves up to Individuals a year early at 17 years old, and gets….6th place! Then you have the mens division, which is an extremely tight race. The battle between Justin and Roman is gonna be a close one next season. It’s weird, but because of Roman’s issues getting into the USA, he is starting his Games career in the prime of his career. Justin, on the other hand, isn’t even in his prime yet….which is mind boggling. 🤯 Now that Roman finally got his first CF Games experience, does he improve even more? Or does Justin take that next step, and start winning in the dominating fashion that we used to see from Mat Fraser’s prime? Or (and probably most likely) is it an extremely close finish like this year? This is going to be fun to watch play out for many years to come!!! Who would’ve thought I’d be this big of a fan of an exercise competition?! 😭😂 🇺🇦🇺🇸🇺🇦🇺🇸

@@jrparker4804 Is forgiveness a bad thing? We should give credit where credit is due. Four years roughing it for a glimpse, a mere possibility of a comeback. He returns and takes 3rd. I'm impressed. I don't excuse what he did, particularly for implicating Mat in a mess that was built on lies. I can admit, however, that the man worked harder than most to get where he is today. For that, I think he's worth acknowledging. Yes, Justin crushed it yet again.
