Hello Chris: I really enjoy your videos. Thanks for doing what you do. Another advantage of using Outlook instead of Teams for scheduling meetings is that when to want to invite additional persons to a meeting after it was scheduled, Outlook gives you a choice whether you want to send the update only to new persons added (or deleted) or send update to every person invited. Meetings scheduled in Teams sends update to everyone by default. This can be annoying when scheduling meetings with large groups and you need to add/remove persons after meeting has been scheduled.

Zul, you are correct! Sending a meeting invite in Teams will send an new invite to everyone, including the people that have already been sent an invite. Outlook is the way to go for most of Teams meeting scheduling.

If you need to keep your chats in one place, you can also link to an MS teams channel from Outlook. That way you always have one place for all your chats. Otherwise, every meeting will start a new chat (unless it's recurring).

great video and very helpful. is it possible to schedule meetings for people not in my orginization and if I do not attend? bascially to schedule a Teams meeting between to external parties without the organizer attending.

Hi Chris. When I schedule a channel meeting using outlook calendar, recipients will receive the typical teams invite and their outlook calendar updated. Now here's the strange thing when the meeting is due: A. When recipients click the invite "Join Microsoft Teams Meeting" link, there are in the right room. B. When recipients click on the join button appearing in outlook calendar or in Team calendar they end up in a different room. Why is that so? Try it!.

Coming back into an office setting after being away for many years. I scheduled a meeting. The attendees list kept growing. My boss told me to make it a Teams Meeting...which I did. What does that reallly do for me? Why is the teams environment better..?

Hey Chris - When I schedule a meeting in Outlook, It's not showing up in teams. Do you know why that might be? I've been googling for about an hour and can't figure it out.

Question: I am trying to organize a clinic. Would you recommend a group only calendar in outlook or teams? Also, how to do a separate calendar for the clinic that will include things like leave and specific clinic only needs? or what would you recommend? Thank you!

From my experience a group calendar for the clinic would be perfect for this.
