I respect the God of War franchise mainly because of the story. But essentially outside of the combat/boss fights.. the older games are immensely overrated. Prince of Persia was a much better franchise overall IMO. Still great games though.

@@kriskater The Sly series is almost identical to the Batman Arkham games. The games are all great by game standards, however Thieves in Time is definitely the Arkham Origins of the series. Not an awful game, but a lot of missteps that make it nowhere near as good as the others. The change in artstyle, slower gameplay, a not very interesting plot (also ridiculous at times. Not in a funny way, more so in a "wow that's way too impossibly convenient" way), extremely dull jokes compared to the other games, and way too many questionable scenes (Murray Geisha dancing and Carmelita belly dancing come to mind).

There are so many adult/dirty/sex jokes scattered here and there that it's insane. Heck the titles of their games are literally adult jokes, like Going Commando, Up Your Arsenal, Full Frontal Assault, Clock Blockers, Into the Nether Regions, and Multiple Organisms! If you knew ANYTHING about Ratchet and Clank, than you'd know what I'm talking about. But I doubt you do. Heck I doubt you're reading this. God of War 2018 is a boring game. Very boring. Just constant walking and talking, the combat's annoying due to its restrictions, the boss fights are highly repetitive and boring (aside from the first fight against Baldur), Atreus is cringe-inducing sometimes, the puzzles are repetitive and (you guessed it) boring, and it doesn't expand on Kratos all-that-much from the prior games. The game's HUGE lack of controls (such as actual JUMPING) make it annoying and enemies are really repetitive and annoying. Nearly EVERY Ratchet and Clank game has better replay value than God of War 2018, games like All 4 One and Full Frontal Assault can die in a hole though. But you're lucky that this video's ranking them based on their franchise as a whole, so basically all the prior games are carrying the 2018 one to victory, if it wasn't based on the franchise, it would be low-tier, God of War 2018 sucks. It's cool to watch, but boring and repetitive to play.

Because everything after Spyro 3 was frankly garbage. Enter the Dragonfly in particular showed Universal's incompetence in finding a decent developer -- playtesting clearly didn't occur to this new group, since as a 6 year old I cheesed the game by bypassing the entire game and jumping (or rather plunging) straight into the final level from the very start.

I wish Resistance was rated higher, tbh. I know that between Ratchet and Clank and Spider-man, Insomniac probably won’t return to the series...but man. That was my first FPS and I play the games with my dad every so often. It will always be my favorite FPS for that. As much as I love Black Ops 3, it isn’t the same as the great times I’ve spent with my dad. It also warms my heart to see Little Big Planet as number 3. Little Big Planet 2 is my most played game of all time. I will never forget the great times I had in the game. While it did sputter with 3, Sackboy was an excellent return to form and with any luck, it means we’ll get a Little Big Planet 4 with the love and care that the series deserves. We don’t need 16 layers, it worked great with just 3. I’m glad we’re getting another chance with my favorite video game mascot

The creative aspects. People made some amazing stuff with the software like FPS games, really well thought out boss fights and platformers. The official game stories were charming in their own way and based on an interesting idea, but the community levels (the good ones at least) made the whole thing worthwhile imo. Basically, I just had a lot of fun with it. The God of War and Batman franchises are still my faves though.

you know it's funny, since this list several games in the top 10 have gotten new games that have been incredibly received. The first being Crash Bandicoot, which averaged about 85% if I recall correctly and the other being Ratchet and Clank, Rift Apart averaged in the mid 90% range, making it one of the highest rated games in the modern consoles.

overrated is just a synonym for everyone else likes it but I don't , nintendo has arugbly better franchises and games than sony does .

@@thegaminganimationstudio7976 I didn't say that I don't like their games. I like BotW but would I give it a 10/10? Hell no! There's too many problems with the game to justify that score. Mario games are fun but they just can't compete with a game like Ratchet and Clank. I'm not saying your opinion is wrong, you can think what you want to but please respect what I think as well.

Well I respect your opinion as well , but just to state a few of my thoughts , god of war 4 , people say the game is 10/10?, I hardly call it a 10/10, gow3 was better imo and kratos is getting too stale as a protagonist , as for Rachet and clank I like that game but honestly it doesn't hold a candle to botw or mario oddesy imo and sony has far fewer iconic exclusives than nintendo , who has a entire lineup of first party exclusives (fire emblem , mario , zelda , metriod , pokemon etc) , of course outside of first party exclusives , Sony is likely better imo, that's but just my opinions , thanks for sharing yours and have a good day 👍👍👍👍👍

Cool Boarders paved the way for Cloud Strife so he didn’t have to walk to the Northern Crater. I never played Cool Boarders, but it looks very similar to Final Fantasy 7’s snowboarding mini-game.

Warhawk has the distinction of being not only my first PS1 game as a kid, but later my first PS3 game as well. Totally different games, but I love them both. The chaos of fully-populated Warhawk maps with all the dlc vehicles was insanity at times. I've still yet to find anything quite like it, although I didn't like Starhawk as much.

Ratchet & Clank and Resistance are the best franchises of Playstation to me, at the time of the PS2 era there were other franchises tryin' to be raunchy and sexual but Ratchet was the only one provin' how badass of a game it is and got more dangerous and cool when the Resistance series started comin' out in the first person shooter age.

Warhawk is one of my favorite multiplayer games I've ever played It had incredible vehicle gameplay, fun weapons, and it never had any game slowdown, ever! Probably the most time I've ever spent on a game.

Resistance was a good franchise. I remember when PS3 launched there wasn´t many games that caught my eye but Resistance 1 was one of the few which I really enjoy. I hope one day it comes back reinvented. The concept was cool though.

surprising to see Spyro and Crash so low tbh :(. However, it's possitively surprising to see Sly Cooper, Uncharted and Wipeout so high on this list! It's so great to see someone talk about Sly and Wipeout again. Only thing i really disagree with is God of War honestly. I don't want to exagerate but I really really REALLY dont like any of the GoW games lol. I tried 1, 2 and 3, but never finished any of them, nor got very far in them. For me its just not catchy and the combat is not really my taste x). Oh and also seeing Little Big Planet so high was no surprise to me lol. I mean, I only played the PSP and PSVita titles of it but they were fantastic and charming and so much more
