Don't be silly, they made that thing, what was it called.. Concord. That was a first person game! And it was a multiplayer thing. Wonder how that's doing. I mean, it was bound to be a success, they spent ages, and millions! And those cutscenes looked so interesting.

“Horizon” doesn’t need to be a huge franchise, like “Halo” or something like that, but I’m glad they have, and are at least thinking about, making new games for it. “Horizon: Zero Dawn” has actually become one of my favorite all-time games.

I've never bought into the "don't boycott companies" line so many make when it comes to teaching these companies a lesson. The reason is the ONLY language the CEO's and shareholders listen to is MONEY. Starve them of money, they'll make changes. If they stay stubborn and still don't listen, the shareholders will get sick and tired of the company losing money and force change.

Didn't they have to stop making RE games for half a decade and then completely reboot and change direction for the series? I can see why it makes business sense to bring that back, considering. I’m not at all sad that the Horizon MMO has been cancelled along with the God of War multiplayer game. I’d rather single player games with multiplayer than just multiplayer games

So why even cancel the Horizon MMO? Was it PvP? Or was that weird Fortnite-ified MonHun clone leak a different project that got cancelled? I persinally need SOMEBODY to make a good MMO, MMO-lite, or the sort. It's insane that they keep trying to push for new competitive shooters or whatever Suicide Squad is instead, when "PvE mmo experience with great action combat" is an untapped market, especially after Destiny 2 shot itself in the foot.

They've been mass canceling their live service games ever since Concord flopped. The Horizon one isn't even the first one they've canceled that's based on a successful existing IP (a God of War one got canceled recently, too, and they canceled ones for The Last of Us and Twisted Metal before Concord even released). In Horizon's case, I think the LEGO spinoff failing probably contributed to the MMO getting axed. At this point I think the only ones left are the ones Bungie is making and the bank robbing one they already officially announced.

I'm a massive fan of Horizon, it's literally 90% of my favourite genre tropes rolled into one, but even I'm able to admit it's not good or successful enough to launch a thousand spinoffs with. At least we'll always have Light of Mortiam 🫡

“Horizon: Zero Dawn” is one of my all-time favorite games. However, I do agree they don’t need to be making a bunch of games for it. A few more are cool; I don’t want to get overwhelmed. Truth be told, I still haven’t finished “Zero Dawn” yet. But, I am looking forward to finishing it and continuing the story in “Forbidden West.” But I’m sure it wasn’t destined to be a massive franchise anyway.
