Is er in dit soort transporten ook nog een motor achter de ambu?
@TeamVerkeerDH8 жыл бұрын
Ja dat hebben we in dit geval ook gedaan op de autosnelweg.
@BertPle4 жыл бұрын

@TeamVerkeerDH8 жыл бұрын

Speed of ambulance and escort motorcycle?
@richardmeijer54854 жыл бұрын
It is in the description , but in short, this was determent bij de ambulance, due to the very serious injury the patiënt had, he wanted a route slow and with as less bumbs and obstacles as possible

@@fransjerosa that’s protected information and therefore, even if the police knows, they’re not gonna share. But for a simple broken bone they wouldn’t even have an escort. In this case very serious injury means very serious injuries.

Why was the motorcycle cop going so slow and holding up the ambulance?
@AO96811 ай бұрын
Because that is what the ambulance wanted. They have a seriously injured patient on board, so they requested a slow escort to make the ride as smoothly as possible for said patient, as to prevent his injuries from getting worse. The cop whose POV we're seeing this from is the commander, who gets updates on road conditions from the cops, who drive ahead of him. The commander relays this info the ambulance driver, so that he knows when to adjust his speed. During the ride on the freeway, one cop stays behind the ambulance, to signal upcoming traffic to keep their distance and pass the ambulance on the left-hand side (while they drive far to the right). When they enter the city, that cop moves to the front again.

Also, in some cases it allows the crew of the ambulance (in severe cases there is more than one paramedic in the back) to perform some types of surgery or operations on the patient while he or she is on his way to hospital where he or she can be treated by specialists, so certain treatments can be started earlier on than when someone needs to have those kind of surgery or treatments after arriving at the hospital. What +Team Verkeer Den Haag said sums this up. :)

it always seems, that the bikes are blocking the Ambulance
@TeamVerkeerDH9 жыл бұрын
Altair1193 No they are not. The biker in front of the ambulance is the commander. He communicates with the two forward bikers (location, speed etc.) When the ambulance wants to go faster, the bikers go faster. in this video it's an extreme slow escorte.

It's supposed to be as comfortable as possible...not fast. The patient needed a stable ride without braking and anticipating (speed)bumps, therefore the speed is reduced.
@mrpddnos2 жыл бұрын
The whole point of this kind of transport is to go slow, brake and accelerate as little as possible to make the ride as smooth and stable as possible. It’s called “glijdend transport.” The ambulance crew decides the speed, which in this case is very slow.
@Jack-hy1zq2 жыл бұрын
@@Snaakie83 I strongly disagree. In a medical emergency, where the patient's life is hanging in the balance, speed must take precedence over comfort. Comfort is irrelevant in such circumstances. It should also be at the ambulance paramedics' discretion how fast they travel depending on the severity of the patient's condition. Sometimes slow, sometimes fast. A comfortable corpse is still a corpse.
@Snaakie832 жыл бұрын
@@Jack-hy1zq @Jack Tiernan you're free to disagree of course. This is not a medical emergency however, this sliding transport was requested to make sure the patient remained stable, which is archieved by a smooth ride, no abrupt stops, no breaking, no waiting. These rides are specifically orchestrated for smooth transport. The very last sentence in the description says 'the speed in this case is ...to the comfort. In the Netherlands there's no need for these transports in emergency cases, there's trauma helicopters for that, there's hospitals all around (anywhere within 15-20 mins) and infrastructure allows for regular ambulance calls.
