@Enigma758 Жыл бұрын
I may be able to answer my own question. I think the IR sensor is only used to navigate to the docking station, but I could be wrong. I think it uses an internal camera for navigation. But anyone feel free to correct me if you have different information.

9:10 water sensor / float sensor / error 37 fill the tank. (i was just dropping all that in as keywords for anyone searching this annoyingly common fault). Thanks for this. Any idea how to rewire to bypass the water sensor such that it considers it always full? It seems extreme I know but I cannot get the part in Australia - they flat out refuse to ship it and all the repairers have confirmed it is not available. The ordinary fixes (loosening the float mechanism, reducing the gap between the float and the sensor) do not work so I am happy to simply refill it after each mop so it stays full. Otherwise, it's a dead robot. Hasn't worked for at least a year, with maybe one or two exceptions. Cheers!!

I have an empty tank "fill the tank" error that is perpetual and isn't resolved through reboots, unsticking the float sensor, or re-seating the tank. Thanks!

@RobotMasters4 жыл бұрын
Try sticking a needle through the spray nozzle to gently clear out the gunk. Don't go to far or you may puncture the hose. It similar process to cleaning a KCup coffee machine. Once you cleaned the nozzle, use warm water and activate the spray nozzle to clean the rest out
@lelandabdmc4 жыл бұрын
Took mine apart to try to clean out the hoses and spay nozzle after it got clogged up with a waxy cleaner. Still not spraying, but I realized that there is a 1" thin steel rod that is left over. Can't tell where it's from. Any ideas?
@RobotMasters4 жыл бұрын
That steel ride goes on the spinning plastic part of the motor pump spray unit. So once you have everything hooked up pump wise, hoses, filter assembly etc. While the m6 still taking apart, take some water and fill up the filter assembly, now manually spin the pump to get the water to spray out of the nozzle. May take several spins. Once you see some water come out the nozzle, put everything back together and you are good to go!!!

@RobotMasters4 жыл бұрын
You will need to remove the top cover with the screws underneath. Once the Top Cover is removed, locate the hoses and you will see a pump attached to them. Carefully remove the pump and manual rotate the until some fluid spits out. The pump needs priming if the robot sits for a long period of time.

Hi love your videos, I'm currently stuck between the Roborock S6 or Neato D7, have you any videos of the S6 mopping?
@RobotMasters5 жыл бұрын
John Walker So I have not uploaded any S6 videos of mopping, I think the Roborock the better value and overall will be the ideal choice over the Neato D7. More features App Features, better performance and reliability.

@@RobotMasters Great thank you!! Out of interest is the mopping feature on the S6 any use at all? I wouldn't expect it to be as good as a dedicated Robomop but just wondered
@RobotMasters5 жыл бұрын
John Walker So maybe for light duty dusting, since the S6 has the same cleaning Vacuum and Mopping pattern, so the Mopping part can’t get stubborn dirt or grime. It kinda of a novelty feature in my mind, you would be better off with a dedicated mopping robot

I just bought a Braava jet m6 and since the first once I install the washable wet mop pad it says “install pad” I repeated it several times and nothing changed. I ordered another set of washable wet pads and it’s the same, but once I use the disposable wet pads it works fine. I contacted the support team, and they respond to me “Seeing that the Robot is being used outside of the US this voids the warranty and we will not be able to provide you with any replacements.” So I need to know what is the issue and what can I do ?
@RobotMasters3 жыл бұрын
Hmmm make sure the sensors are clean, where the mopping pad slots into. There some lights that read what type of mopping pad is in there. Also try restarting the robot by turning the robot off than on. Also you can try removing the battery from the robot.

I'm a sucker for disassembly videos. I'm a tinkerer myself and will take apart anything I can when it's "broken" so as to understand how it works, what went wrong and then try and FIX it. Videos like this ALSO get my mind thinking. I think things like, "What if, on these crazier side brush spinning vacs, you circumvent the power going to them with a potentiometer. Lessen that dedicated power, lessen that speed". By NO MEANS am I asking for such a warranty breaking thing in a video! It's just a fun thought, but a thought that probably would work nonetheless! Great Job!
@RobotMasters5 жыл бұрын
Hahaha you must of hacked into my KZbin account because I have the i7 side brush spinning hack which I install a potentiometer in series on the side brush motor so I can vary the speed of the side brush. Will hopefully have this video uploaded this weekend. I also have a Parody video where the side brush spins super fast and the opposite direction to make it absolutely pointless. No worries on the Warranty I am the same way, will fix anything that breaks on my own 😃

@@RobotMasters : You sound like you know what you're doing already! So, without turning this into a thesis length comment explaining series circuitry, I can explain the bare bones principle to those who'll come across this who don't. It's pretty much like you said. You wire it up in series. You get a standard 3 legged potentiometer (also called POT) and using leg 1, you attach it to ground somewhere on the board. Ground is EVERYWHERE! Then you track where the brush is getting it's power. You take that power and wire it to leg 2 (middle/pwr input) and then you wire leg 3 (pwr output) to the motor. Then you say a prayer and hope nothing blows up. You can also get fancy by having a pot with a long plastic knob/shaft. Drill a hole into the vac and have it stick out and hot glue it in place! Maybe print out a sticker with desired speed settings to place around the pot and cut a notch into the top of the shaft so as to know what setting is being pointed to? Or... something like that. WHEW! 😩

The wheel have Weird sensor to detect uneven ground. On the wheel frame lays.magnet. On the spring frame sensor with 5 wires. 2 are separate black and red. My guess, those are + and -. Other 3 seems to be signal wires. Might it mean robot can detect 4 positions of the wheel... Well see, if I need to destroy the sensor. Right now I cleaned everything with alcohol swab and seems to work well. Must say I was impressed with the care irobot took to seal everything with epoxy. There has been water leak to the body, but only thing affected is 1 screw, that holds ballast weight. Too bad irobot have such bad policy of where I can buy my robot.
