Holy shit it's so refreshing seeing someone else ask how they turned her back. As much as it's a great game the narrative is really weak compared to older titles.

They turned her back by using the power of three triforce piece users. It’s not explicitly explained but that’s exactly what they did. If you’re not familiar with the larger Zelda lore/games then I can see how it would be confusing though.

Didn’t see anyone mention it in your chat but Rauru = Power, Time magic Sonia = Wisdom, Light magic Link = Courage They became a living representation of the Triforce that exists within Zelda and cast the most powerful Recall in Hyrule history. This is why Zelda and Links arm come back.

Yep. The cutscene back when Zelda was sitting with Sonia, at the table and the tea cup. It explained what Sonia is really good at. Rauru is the Light, and Sonia is the Time Magic. She mentions about thinking of whatever anything to anybody like a memory, to return to the state of where it was. They were foreshadowing the idea of how Zelda could be returned for a good part of the game. She couldn't go back on her own, but very strong time and light magic is exactly what is needed to apply that aspect on Zelda, like a memory, and coaxed it back to the earlier point in its time. Like a tea cup.
