I have a ton of thoughts about this game but I'm not gonna write an essay in the youtube comment section, plus you said most of what needed to be said and I pretty much agree with everything you said. So I will just give a few of my good and bad thoughts at random. I like the idea of the master sword being damaged and having to be fixed, and I love how they did it in this game (best master sword pull in the series) but the fact that they basically did the same thing but differently in BotW kinda took the wind out of TotK sails. My favorite new addition in this game were the caves. Dungeons are my favorite parts of zelda games and even though the caves aren't as puzzley as dungeons they gave me more of a dungeon feeling than the shrines or temples. I love the caves a lot. I liked the sky but I feel like they pushed it too hard in the marketing. It ended up being a bit underwhelming, some of the islands are even copy paste. Like I said I enjoyed them but they aren't really as big of an upgrade from Skyward Sword's skies as I wanted. I was hoping for some bigger landmasses and more unique experiences. The depths were really interesting at first and I liked how they were kinda designed for traversal using ultrahand machines, but there wasn't really enough unique stuff down there for me to love it. I did enjoy it enough to find every lightroot tree and explore it enough that I think I found everything of note though. The temples were a step up from the divine beasts (although I miss the ability to manipulate the dungeon like the divine beasts, that was really cool) but still weren't that great. The looked great though. And no complaints about the bosses. I wish the temples were more constrictive like the shrines are. The fire temple looks big and cool and it is fun to use the rails and everything, but being able to just fly everywhere kinda defeats the purpose to me and makes it boring. I know a lot of people love the freedom, and I do to in the open world, but I think the dungeons should be more limited. At least the lightning temple was the best dungeon in BotW or TotK (for my taste). The last thing I will mention are the abilities. I think they are all great. Making machines with ultrahand was super fun, I even found myself just making stuff to use even though I knew of easier solution to whatever the puzzle or combat encounter was. But I wish there were more puzzles that required actually thinking with ultrahand. Kinda like the puzzles in the construct factory. most puzzles just involve making a simple flying machine. And I wish the things you could attach to ultrahand machines were stronger. I remember making a big machine with all sorts of devices on it and then it just does like minor damage to a bokoblin. Kinda disappointing, and it also made Mineru's ability weak. I also wish there would have been a final dungeon like BotW had. Anyway those are some random thoughts, it seems like a lot of negative but that's just because anything I didn't mention I probably liked.

Put Tears down after about 6 hours. It's just Breath again after six years for $70. The building mechanic is ATROCIOUS.
